It came to me in a dream in the bathroom: someone should make a Dragon Quest style RPG starring everyone's favorite Youtubers! That dream may become a reality... with your help!
So here we go...
What I've got:
Characters:

A list of possible characters that you can recruit to your starting party are as follows: Dodger, Egoraptor, Markiplier, Strippin, Jesse Cox, Pewdiepie, Danny Sexbang, JonTron, with many more to come should the idea come to fruition (and if we can get enough characterization to flesh out each character).
Stats:

HP will instead be referred to as "DailyViews". The more damage you take, the closer you come to being Unsubbed (this game's equivalent to the traditional Death status). MP is Energy which will be used for skills (Likely referred to as "Content"). Attack, Defense, Intellect and Agility will instead be *name pending for Attack*, Endurance, Humor and Activity. YoutubeSub is just the character's Level.
Why These Stat Names?:
• Endurance in the face of negative criticism (which is essentially what's going to be focing down your daily views (HP). The thicker your skin, the less you're affected by attacks.
• Humor aiding in the effectiveness of your Content (skills), which nets you the most benefit for the amount of Energy (MP) you put into creating it (Casting Cost).
• Activity being how often you get your turn, which is rather self-explanatory.
Abilities:

These will be based not only around the content these Youtubers put out, but also their mannerisms and what they're best known for. Dodger's current abilities are Coffeh Time which increases Activity and Cat Mom which is an AoE skill that send cats flying at all enemies.
Arin's current abilities (as displayed in the screenshot) are Toilet Humor, Not-So-Grump (Rank 1 of 3 Elemental Spell; the second and third being Grump and Best Grump respectively) and Animation, which would be a still image of a monster graphic sliding in from one side of the screen, jumping up and down on the enemy and then disappearing on the other side.
Setting:
The tried and true method of taking real-world people and thrusting them into a fantasy world would be them all receiving a "magic e-mail" that sucks them into the computer and spits them back out in said fantasy world.
Some NPCs (this world's "fanbase") will tell you important information on how to advance and such while most other less-helpful NPCs might just make cringe-worthy references depending on who's in the party. This is to reflect the real life occurrence of being stopped by a fan during a convention just for them to spout "Release the Bees!" (a Dodger reference) before walking away.
How you can help:
I'd love to be able to spread the word to various Youtubers, get their permission to be included in the game and their take on what they want their characters to be like and how they speak, but a more realistic goal is to find normal people like you to help add to a bank of references and mannerisms that can be used in this game. I'd prefer it if we made it as less facepalm-y as possible, so let's try to be clever with this.
Also, this would be thrown together a lot quicker if everyone who participated threw in a dungeon or a town and we smooshed the resulting content into a game (kind of like the Chain Game format only without each one building off the last).
All of the graphics displayed above are placeholders, of course.
What do you think?

Why would you need anyone's permission to put them in a game, especially since these guys are celebrities.

Common courtesy?
You could add the various Yogs - Simon and Lewis are especially loved (SIMON WE MISS YOU ;.; ) - and Kim and Hannah are there if you need more gals. There's also iHasCupquake or the FineBros, Team4Star and the like. Hell, even as NPC cameos if there's not enough party slots open.
Skills/behaviours, eh?
Simon: Diggy Diggy Hole, Squeal of Delight, Dwarf syndrome(idk, something dwarf related), Honeydew, JAFFACAKE!
Basically, Simon's character is that of a dwarf who is best friends with a spaceman (Lewis/Xephos). He's always excited about cute things and the heart and soul of the Yogscast, loves Jaffa cakes, is extremely funny and silly and always gets into some sort of trouble, usually dragging Lewis along with him.
Lewis: Fake Science, Biology???, Straight man, Mr Calm, Facepalm, Sigh of Disappointment, "I've had enough!", Lecture Supreme
Lewis is more of the straight-man of the group, who is very capable and has done science degrees but... seems to bullshit a lot when talking about it. He takes some parts that are right and then fucks them up entirely and if given the chance will lecture about this 'not-quite-true' science. He's the one who tries to keep everyone on track. He usually manages to do a decent job at it, despite people like Simon, Sips and Sjin slacking off/trolling. Usually calm except when things go really wrong or Simon lands himself in a jam.
Kim: Squeal of the Cuteness, Short but Deadly), Flux Queen, Mother..., Dangerously Cute, Ruby <insert weapon here>, Apprentice
Kim is short, cute and very likely to squeal in delight over other short, cute things. She's a fire-cracker, who isn't afraid to go out there and mess people up as long as she has her friends with her. She and Duncan get along quite well, usually scheming together about how to destroy their foes - though she's the more headstrong, bloody-minded of the two. She holds a grudge against Sjin and HatFilms, gets along with Hannah and the rest quite well, but can be a sneaky little devil when riled up, wanting to pull pranks. Loves noodles and animals. Firmly believes in not eating ones' pets. Originally was an apprentice working under first Sjin, then Duncan, but has come into her own with Witchery and the like.
Lomadia (Hannah): Straight-faced, Unafraid, Owl Summons, Bees!, 'Oh, Nilesy...', Witch-related stuff, Songstar
Straight-faced and fearless, she loves messing with more complicated stuff like Bees and Witchery (minecraft mods). She also loves playing other games like Witcher and scary games, too, often joined by Kim. She likes singing and going along with the flow, often reacting to things instead of being the one to set stuff off. More serious than some of the others, she's very much a straight-man and often won't lie about things or just denies involvement altogether. She's loyal to her friends as long as they don't fuck up royally, but she is happy to mess around on occasion as well. She mixes well with most everyone, worrying over them at times, too. She and Kim get along especially well, as does she and Rhythian.
Just a note: I know a few of the Yogs don't really like people writing romantic pairings for them since they have relationships outside of the YTs. For example, Kim and Duncan are often paired since they're very good friends and joke around a lot about all kinds of subjects, including porn and the like, however Duncan has a serious relationship with someone else outside of the group. Another example is Hannah and Lewis who are dating but don't like their personal lives being intruded apon. They don't mind fan stuff at all (in fact, they greatly appreciate their fans and the content they provide), as long as it doesn't go in to romantic areas.
Honestly, I'd love to see someone make a Yogscast game, but barring that, including them in something like this would be cool too. XP
(and sure, sign me up for a map or two when you get graphics finalised~)

Blech, basically a celebrity game for the new generation, on the same level as Naruto games. Works as a satire game I guess.
Endurance should be called Thick Skin. Because some YT's don't have any at all. Also for attack you should call it Reason. IE the reasons they play and or attack or support the games they do. Or something similar to that. Possibly call it content.
people already make games like this all the time, yeah? I don't see it being a big enough undertaking to take much community involvement, but hey, you do you.
this sort of thing is really uninteresting to me because fan-reference humour isn't really my thing (and because a whole lot of youtubers have been tremendous unrepentant assholes (hi @ totalbiscuit and jontron)) but good luck and stuff

somewhere around the time that people began making a considerable living from video ad revenue alone, I guess
n-no! not the download list! why isn't my forgettable fantasy magnum opus there instead!? they've not heard the last of this, those youtubers...
ahahahahaha christ, friend, just let it go already

I've decided to just bite the bullet and start advertising Pom Gets Wi-Fi myself, because no matter how good you are, you'll never be 166k good. Who else wants to help me get Dodger's attention with that game? Let's see how far we can push that sucker.

wait when did youtubers become popular enough to star in a game
I've seen people making games starring YouTubers just because it's a cheap and easy way to get said YouTubers to Let's Play them. However, very few actually have merit.
While there are certainly cool people on YouTube, I don't personally see the appeal of making a game based around them.

to be honest with you, I feel absolutely terrible for the creator of that game and I think that people should just let it stand on its own merits from here on out. defining it by its popularity and making it into a symbol aren't really great practices, and they've invited a lot more harm than good upon someone who was just putting a game together for fun.

Hammered out a few more details on the toilet.
• Revival items are limited to Resub
• Healing items will be based on sociological standards. What I have so far as they correlate to how well they're received on the internet:
1. Tweet
2. Life Experience/Passionate Message
3. Catchphrase/One-Liner
4. Meme
5. Cat Picture (Full Heal, 9,999+ Views)
-----------
As mentioned earlier in the thread, the game will be Dragon Quest-esque, so you'll start your game choosing which Youtubers (heroes) you want in your party. To go with the theme, the aesthetic will also closely resemble the simplicity of the NES RPGs, only we should side with custom graphics because that just makes more sense.
The world itself would be laid out like a standard fantasy game but with NPCs also being aware of the Youtubers that have become part of their world (something to do with the timelines/dimensions merging or whatever). Your goal is your standard fare "find your way back home" while trying to maintain your "visibility" so to speak.
Once your party loses their visibility, the game is over. Instead of an implied death like in other games, the battle loss string message will read out "*Meme* is now trending." This could be Nyan Cat, MLGpro or whatever floats our collective boat.
The way I see the intro playing out is a bit like the first few seconds of the .hack PS2 (Infection - Quarantine) games where a nameless entity opens an email containing Zalgo font before being sucked into the computer. Once there, you'll have your character selection screen like you'll find in some of the retro fangames around here: black screen with 2-frame animated sprites walking in a line.
A big thing - as I'm sure we're all aware - is writing realistic characters, so we may need multiple writers doing a selection of Youtuber characters' dialogues. It should be stressed that refraining from falling back on their meme-like mannerisms is a must.
If anyone else has any big ideas, do share them. Won't be much of a collaborative project if there's only two people working on it.
