EDIT: Ok my friend has a new issue now that first one was solved. My friend has Vista, and hes trying to use rpgmaker2003. When he makes a map, but then goes to map properties, his map goes back to all being water, like the it was a new map just being made. And when he tests the map, even when theres chips painted on it, the map is still all water. I don't know if hes doing somethign and i dont know about it, or its something with vista.
Yup. Right click on RM2K3, then click "Run as Administrator.

If it doesn't come up in the right click menu, then right click, go into properties, then compatibility, and it will be in there.
hahaha you know whats really funny about that? I just spent 3 hours with my friend, and at the end of our search, we found that answer somewhere. Thats anyway though! ha

EDIT: I've changed the topic to a new issue im having so disregard this post and the one above it.
Make sure that the map that you are trying to test contains the party start point on it. My guess is that it is still on the default map.
believe it or not, we just found the answer, and it was like the same thing. He had to make it so that admins could use the program. (I guess it was different from what he did last time?) Ha ha ha oh man... Vista. But yeah thanks. This can officially be closed now ty.
