[RMVX ACE] IDEAS ON GAME SPRITES?

The tone of Haven is not bright and colorful like default tilesets , I've got everything else art wise under control but my sprites are bugging me.
For starters VX sprites are tiny chibi things which is annoying and its too much like hard work to use xp sprites and a bunch of scripting. Does anyone know of any royalty free sprites for commercial use that would fit which I could edit or should I just start the painful task of drawing like 100 sprites from scratch? Sprites are not my thing but I can learn.
so in conclusion if anyone has any ideas would be appreciated.
here are some screen so you can see what I mean.
Thanks
Mike

From the looks of it, the best idea would be to find a sprite artist and pay her to do sprites for you. I'm very certain you won't find any free character sprite that'll fit a tileset as unique as this.
On the other hand, FF7's character models also badly clash with the art style of the game, so you might actually get away with that.

High fantasy bundle may do the job. It can be bought here on RMN.
If you aim for a commercial release hiring an artist is probly the best option.

Yeah, I was going to suggest the high fantasy bundle, too. I have it. and promise they're the style you're looking for. You find them on sale on Steam from time to time. This is the way to go if you want a commercial release. Artists charge a lot for sprite sheets. At RMW I was seeing some charge 100 per sheet. That's a single character. For one of my games I am making my own, and I can tell you, it's justified. Sprite sheets are freaking hard to make, I mean, stuff-of-nightmares hard. Buying a resource pack is definitely your best option. They come with a commercial license and they offer a lot more than RTP, and they cost nowhere near what you'll have to pay for custom work.
Also, why does only the caster wear big armor and the melee girls only wear skimpy clothing?

Above are examples of females in legitimate armor.
Boobplate is one thing, but this is really jarring.

Oh my! I'm swiping those!
Dunno where the above is from, but the below is from Dark Souls.
author=Satedauthor=Zer0_RedemptionHaving a Paladin who isn't wearing armour looks pretty damn weird; that whole class has always revolved around shiny, metal armour and big shields. The same goes for the Soldier; I wouldn't mind lighter armour (leather-type armour) on the Soldier to differentiate them from the Paladin, but what they're wearing looks like a swimsuit(???) and that's kinda strange. I guess I can buy the Figher wearing less clothing if by Fighter you mean hand-to-hand combat.

But to be honest, I wouldn't use any of those character portraits. They don't fit the rest of the art-style you're using in this game. If all the in-game artwork is sprite-based then the portraits should be as well. There's no reason to change style as the inconsistency creates problems that don't need to be created.
I think the girls are supposed to flaunt their boobs in melee to try and distract the enemies from blocking.
Also, wouldn't a water dancer be... IDK, more likely to be wearing the skimpy shit? Since they have to dance... with water... and iron rusts...
Common sense dictates don't put melee characters in non!armour unless they're super fast, have high dodge and/or can cast ironskin or something. You risk those pretty little boobs being cut right off. So sexy.

Noah is probably bad at dancing and lets the water do it for him.
Dance Water Dance!
Seriously, the water dancer is the only one wearing armor. The story in this game must take place on Opposite Day.

It's a water dancer with three chicks in light clothing - that looks more like Wet T-Shirt contest to me.
Hey guys, sorry for the confusion, the menu screen with girls not wearing armor is not their final class they are only the portraits, not assigned to correct classes yet, i only posted these to give an idea of the art style for the sprites to match up to. I am in no way planning on having any unarmored Paladins or Knights with low cut dresses that is not practical at all :D
also some of these are NPC's and test characters, once more they are there to show the direction of the art not representing the final product :)
but thanks to the guys who mentioned the high fantasy pack

Still, you shouldn't choose demonstration sprites that make the game appear much worse than it actually is.
