Heya!
I'm looking for some ideas for weapons made from household items.
For examples, a power chord which shoots eletric bolts, matches + spray as a flame thrower, etc...
I'm writing etc as I don't have too much inspiration at the moment. It can be a combination of different items to make a weapon.
Thoughts?

All I can think of is some simple ones like "kitchen knife + mop (or broom) = spear."
Maybe "Glass Ball Paperweight + rolling pin = mace?"
Maybe "Glass Ball Paperweight + rolling pin = mace?"
Toaster-flail, lamp (Light magic?), usb cord whip, Nokia mobile hammer, cutlery (as throwing knives/etc), lightbulb grenades, camper stove for fire magic, icecube tray for ice magic...

Yes! My Dead Rising experience finally pays off!
Broom handle + kitchen knife = Naginata
Jewelry + flashlight = lightsaber
Toy copter + knives = spinning death
Boxing gloves + knives = wolverine hands
Fire Axe + sledgehammer = Overkill
Guitar + Fire Axe = Metal Halberd
Halloween mask + dynamite = explosive hilarity
That's all I can think of at the moment.

Cast-iron skillet + whoever runs the kitchen = scary shit.
Coca-Cola + glass jar with lid + bleach = hand grenade (wait a minute; that shit works in real life...maybe you shouldn't use it...)
Cola and bleach grenade + screws from the tool bench in the garage = dirty bomb
Half-drank bottle of Jack + dry dishrag = molotov cocktail
I used to have a set of oak curtain rods that would have made solid bo staffs.
Pipe from sink + shotgun shell + nail + duck tape = Single use shot gun
Bicycle innertube + utility knife (used with innertube) + misc. pipe pieces = slingshot
Nals + duck tape = ammunition for sling shot
2x4 + PVC pipes + bicycle innertube = crossbow
pencils/pens/game darts = crossbow ammo

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Any weapon is a household object if you live in the right house.
Also, any household object is a weapon if you're a goddamn ninja.
- SNES controllers used as nunchucks
- Necktie used as garrotte
- Refrigerator door ripped off and used as shield
- Trash can lid used as shield
- Silverware used as throwing knives... and throwing forks
- Meat cleaver used as axe
- Broken beer bottle used as broken beer bottle
- Pillow used to smother and suffocate foes
- Pepper spray and taser, the soccer mom weapons of choice
- IV needles, designed for diabetes or heroin, but filled with poison instead
- Crowbar, sledgehammer, cordless power drill, pitchfork, chainsaw, or pretty much any other item from a tool shed

Pool cleaner + Brake fluid in a capped container, shake and throw = fire bomb (put it in a glass container and you get bonus shrapnel)
Boiling sugar, not only does it burn, it sticks and burns = napalm.
Anything made of cord at ankle height = tripwire
Baking Soda + Vinegar + plastic film canister = soda bomb
Baking soda on a bottle cap balanced on a pool of vinegar inside a film container = delayed soda bomb
Tripwire tied to delayed soda bomb = bang grenade
Sock + coins or heavy ornament = cosh
Flashlight - blind them with the bright end then club them with the blunt one.

Some pretty inventive ideas here, thanks.
I think I need to clarify a bit further however.
The weapons are looking for are for my game:
*Each weapon should therefore be very different from the other ones. Think FPS, where each weapon is truly unique. In other words, each weapon should touch upon a different "theme": fire, electricity, ice, long range, short range, explosion and so forth.
*Also, there is no magic in the game.
*I can't use weapons from other games, like Dead Rising. The weapons need to be original. So, Red Nova, I'd need to know which ones on your list are original.
*I already have a whip weapon and an electricity weapon.
*Although I don't mind combination of items, I prefer single items.
*Chainsaw is already covered.
*I can't use something from the Simpsons. Needs to be original.
So, here's a summary of weapons so far which I'd like to explore further:
*lightbulb grenade (Liberty): a grenade/explosion weapon. It's original.
*Cutlery as throwing weapons (Liberty): used by some enemies in the kitchen.
*Glass ball/Rolling pin (Unity): I can't have the rolling pin as it's not exactly an household item unless I put it in the game room... The glass ball I like but I don't see how I would use it as a weapon.
*Curtain rod (pianotm): could be used as a spear.
*Pencil (pianotm): sword or spear.
*Trash lid (LockeZ): had already thought of that one :).
*Meat Cleaver (LockeZ): for enemies as it doesn't have a theme.
*Syringe (Lockez): Again for enemies.
*Pitch Fork (Lockez): I like. Again for enemies.
*Flashlight (nhubi): Enemies are robots. Maybe the beam could stun them? Or perhaps the flashlight works as a laser beam. That'd be nice.
*Coins & Cash (nhubi): I think there's potential for an original weapon but I just don't see how at the moment.
Thanks for ideas, keep 'em coming!

I used to have this sturdy branch that I used as a faux staff forever-and-a-half ago?
Eh, probably not the kind of thing you're looking for.

You could always remove the safety cage around a free-standing floor fan and just start swinging it around. It'd need a portable battery pack or an extension cord, but if it's metal people will die.

What do you mean a rolling pin isn't a household item, what do you roll your pastry and pasta out with?
Oh and here's how you turn a flash-light into a laser.

The weapons are two different household items stitched together. I'm pretty sure you can't put a copyright on them. Otherwise there'd only be one commercial game in the entire world that would have, say, an AK47, but that's obviously false. Plus, half the list you compiled together consist of weapons you find in Dead Rising, so if you're gonna go that route, they'd all have to go.
Though I'm certain you know the law better than I do. All of the ones I've listed came from Dead Rising, so don't use any of them if you're not comfortable with it.
I beg your pardon, I was listing stuff I've actually done.
Pencil's are too weak for swords and spears, but they function okay as arrows or bolts. Dip the tips in Draino to make poison rounds. The ideal rounds would be if you have dowel rods on hand in your garage, cut and sharpened down. If you think you can pull it off, you can also make a blow gun. I prefer to use small copper tubing (you can get it at Home Depot), but you can use PVC pipes. The key to making a blow gun is to remember that the back side of the ammo has to fit somewhat snuggly in the shaft; not so tight that it can't move, but tight enough that air can't get around it. A needle with tape at the end work. If you'd like to know the general shape of a blowgun dart, it's the same as a nail, except it's a thin, long needle with a wood or rubber end. Nails are way too heavy. When using a blowgun, be extremely careful not to inhale.
Regular curtain rods, the aluminium things that are usually used are mostly useless. Heavy wooden curtain rods are what you want. They may be a bit too heavy for a spear, at least for throwing, but attaching a butcher knife to the end might make a nice pikestaff or halbred. Don't forget that in your simple tool box, you already have weapons ready to go; knives, screw drivers, nail guns...
