[RMVX ACE] SKILL THAT TARGETS A SPECIFIC ACTOR?

In VX Ace, is it possible to have a skill that only targets a specific actor? Like, if two lovers each get a spell that they can cast but it only casts it on their partner? I've been trying to brain how this would work and I'm not coming up with anything, so any help would be appreciated!

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Give the skill a scope of "None" and have it do nothing except call a common event. Have the common event force the character to use a second skill on a specific target. Make the second skill do what you actually want the skill to do and give it a scope of "One ally."

You probably want to give both skills the same name and usage text, and have no animation for the first one, so the player can't tell that two skills happened.

Oh, of course! Thanks a bunch, I hadn't even thought of that :DDD
What I've also done for a similar skill, in that one character can cast a buff that only works on one specific character, is to have it give a state that every other character in the game resists, that way it only applies to them. Doesn't keep players from casting it on the wrong target, but I tend to assume some intelligence in my players.

Also, if you need more specific control, the YEA scripts have Lunatic Targeting, which lets you just write a script that could read like "target == game_actors(id)"
