CloseMassive fangasm for the newly revealed trailer of Odin Sphere Leifdrasir.
The game will apparently include an HD remastered version of the original game (not that it weren't already gorgeous), as well as an extra mode with several added features such as new areas, platforming action, new enemies, new character abilities, an enhanced crafting system, etc.
You can watch the trailer below. The first half showcases the remastered original game, the second half introduces the new content.
I'm really excited about this remake and it's great to see a professional dev studio being passionate about their projects enough to offer both options, and caring about their fans.
This is probably what Squeenix should do with the FF7 remake: one version should only have better graphics and another should redesign everything. That way every single fan would be happy with it.

When i saw this was coming I made a very high pitched noise of joy and it was good.
The original odin sphere is one of the first games that my niece actually got into, back when she was kind of too young for it. But she ended up loving games in general through it. when i showed her the trailer she squeed and it was adorable. Odin sphere is just beautiful and i am super hype for this remake

I bought an used ps2 so i could play some games i didn't play on it in my young teens and odin sphere was on of them. I must say it's a gorgeous game, and the story is enchanting, but I CAN'T BEAT ODIN. Thanks to him i can't advance on the story, and it's the beginning! He 1-hit kills me! It's so frustratingly difficult!

I think the best strategy is to jump over him when he charges and always attack him from behind. But maybe you need to level up your HP if you can only take a single hit, and having a supply of healing items will always help.
If this comes to Steam or the PS3 store, I'm sold. I've seen my bro play Odin Sphere, and I fucking loved it, the detail and oh god everything you can eat looks so delicious.

Oh yes, the Pooka Kitchen and Rabbit Café are fun and cute features and eating food there grants HP experience :D I think it's a cool and original idea.
It seems the remake will be available on the PS store for PS3, PS4 and Vita:

That's another reason for me to eventually buy a Vita but I'd hate to pay an extra $50 for the Borderlands Vita Slim bundle :P
