CloseRecently, I moved out on my own into a new house in Westmount, Virginia. This isn't the first time I'm living alone, but I don't have any friends or relatives up here, so its kinda scary!
Its a bit of a shaby place, and its off in the middle of nowhere. But at least its pretty quiet I guess, plus my folks paid for it, so I'm not complaining.
I'll have some photos of the place up once I get a camera (I'm almost certain that I packed one with me when I left, but considering its nowhere in my luggage, I guess not!).
Anyways, discuss your experiences leaving the crib!

I kicked my mother out my grandma's place for pawning grandma's dvds. No I can actually have nice things, like clothes bought for me, or money that doesn't go towards bills that never get paid, or (gasp) a SOCIAL LIFE!

Seriously, I got tired of rent money vanishing to casinos, drugs, or who knows what else. With grandma I don't have to worry about whether or not I'll be homeless a week from now. So yeah, I'm better of, huh? Besides, she'd do the same to me and then gamble it away, too.

I left for college exactly a week ago and while it's been pretty damn enjoyable, I still do have mixed feelings about being away from home. Leaving my family has been a fairly difficult thing to cope with, so I tend to just not think about it. :X

It's always hard when you move away from home especially if your moving in by yourself but you'll get used to it eventually. Good luck with the move. :)
