WHICH VIDEO GAME-BASED MOVIES/SHOWS/ANIMES DID YOU ENJOY THE MOST?

With the popularity of both rising since their births, intermingling was to occur sooner or later. As time goes on, we have more games based off of televised entertainment and vice versa.
So, with that being said, which movies, animes, or television shows, based on a video game, did you enjoy watching the most? Share all that you'd like to here!
Remember: This is asking about entertainment that first started out as a video game, then was turned into a movie, ect. For example, you cannot choose 'Naruto', because it was an anime before they made video games from it. That's an answer for another topic!
Now, for my opinion...... Personally, I'm not all that big on having cinema based on video games, as they usually wind up dissapointing me. However, I can say that, from the ones that I have seen, I enjoy Mortal Kombat (1995) and Street Fighter (1994).
My first choice, to me, was actually well done for a video game movie and I thought that it was a close enough to it's roots to make me feel like it was actually part of the series.
As for my last vote...... The reasons are purely because I found the movie to be so absurd, and humorous in that I did find myself laughing at quite a few things that the movie directors likely did not intend to be funny.
For one instance: The casting. I could not believe that the characters I saw were supposed to be the characters from the game. I think the only ones that I'd picked out immediately were Sagat, Zangief, and M.Bison, only because they had the similar costumes. To this day, I still scratch my head and wonder why the other characters were not also appropriately casted, or appropriately dressed.
But, besides the cheesy action sequences, and the 'witty' dialouge, that is another reason I would willingly watch, and laugh, at this movie again.

The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog remains a guilty pleasure of mine. I just love how wacky it is and I found Dr. Robotnik to be the best character in the show.
Power Stone was the fucking SHIT when I was a kid. I haven't watched it in a long time though. I saw it before I ever played any of the Power Stone games, so I wasn't aware that it was based on a video game at the time.
There's a Street Fighter animated movie which I think is literally called "Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie" which was really fun. I don't play SF myself, but I'm familiar enough with the characters. You should watch it if you think watching M. Bison teleporting around and screaming "YOU CAN NEVER STOP MY PSYCHO POWER" would be hilarious (which it is).
I don't watch the anime, but I like some of the Pokemon movies, basically the ones that I saw as a kid. Pokemon 2000 is my favourite, and I'd like to think that it, along with FFVII's Highwind, kicked off my obsession with planes and airships. Seriously, as a kid watching it, the airship in 2000 was fucking badass and blew my mind, even if the design makes no sense whatsoever looking back:

The 3rd and 4th Pokemon movies were pretty enjoyable too, if memory serves. I personally don't have a lot of patience for the overly preachy and soppy morals of the first one.
I can't think of any other video game based things off of the top of my head.
Can I name one based on a tabletop game? (It's not Yugioh - that started out as a manga)
Cardfight: Vanguard
It takes away all the corniness, cheesiness and bad tactics from Yugioh and leaves only awesome:
-The game is actually tailored towards a showdown between two boss monsters (the Vanguards), while still leaving room for auxillary units (Rearguards)
-Skilled play is actually relevant in the anime, as is proper deckbuilding - one episode simultaneously shows how bad it is to have too many Grade 3s (you need lower grades to actually get them out) and not having any at all (as lower grades are stomped by them if played properly). One episode even has two people reflect on a round after playing.
-"Final Turn!" is extremely badass, much moreso than "Shining Draw!". This is even one-upped, as
Duel Masters
It basically does the exact opposite of Cardfight: Vanguard - it's even more cheesy and hammy than Yugioh, contains lots of funny interactions and parodies some silly card game interactions. One of the best parts is a parody of the Duelist Kingdom arc, where players had to collect 50 tokens to enter a tournament, which you have to earn one by one, starting at 1. The main character got up to 49, at which point he starts losing until he's back to the start - the other contestants made a poster of his deck and wrote down all of his plays as he never changed the deck as it was a gift. After he finally gets himself to play different decks, he got the 50 together.

one character drew a random low-level card from his deck he just borrowed to play a match, declaring that he'll win using this card (he does). This happens again later, but it's done by a different character with a new deck he made himself. His opponent is totally freaking out about it.

I guess I am the only person in the world who likes the Super Mario Bros movie. This is probably not true. But that movie is not well-liked.
Well I rather like its dystopian cyberpunky feel. It has nothing to do with the game of course but I really like the... set design. That movie is just so damn out there and just so damn... I don't know. It's just excellent. I wish there was a game based on the movie. But that's never going to happen because the games with the same name are just some dude jumping around.
I also rather enjoyed the Silent Hill movie. There's a lot of goodness in that, though I have to admit that I've never actually played any Silent Hill games so if I did I might have felt differently.

I actually enjoyed it well enough, watching it alone on DVD yeeeeears after release. As long as your expectations are low and you know ahead of time it's going to have almost no accurate connections to canon, you can accept it as a piece of silly goofiness.

Robotnik owns. He's a one note character but he's so loveable because he knows that it's his job to be the bad guy and he revels in that.
My favorite though is the Street Fighter movie featuring Raul Julia:
Speaking of characters who know it's their job to be the bad guy...
I liked the five-hour anime that came with Guilty Gear Xrd. As in, I actually liked it. It was a solid B-Grade anime that gave everyone except Potemkin significant screentime and development, with passable writing!
The PS4 disables screen recording during Story playback, meaning there's absolutely zero good videos of it online. The only playlist I could find has... Russian narration over the first chapter and a half? But here it is anyway!

Advent Children is the only cinema adaptation of a game I've watched.
I typically avoid them, but I'm looking forward to the Ratchet and Clank Movie coming in 2016 or 2015, I forget which.
God I hope it airs in Australian Cinemas, if it's anything like advent children, it won't, but I'm hoping since it's published by Universal Studios, that there's a better chance of that happening.
Because man, what a thing to see on the big screen!

You just reminded me: The Sly Cooper movie is being made too. That looked like it might turn out pretty good.
Even if it doesn't, hey, more furry movies! Bring 'em on!
Um, to this day... it's still the Mario movie, and only because of how blatantly unfaithful it is to the source material. As an actual movie, it is absolutely HORRIBLE, but there's a level of corniness to the movie that I seriously can't help but appreciate and love.
I hear a lot about the Mario Bros. movie being terrible and nothing at all like the game. Hearing it brought up again here further solidifies how horrendous it must be....... and it makes me want to watch it really badly. Hah, thank you for helping me decide on a future purchase, everyone!
Amen. M. Bison is, without doubt, one of my favorite villains found on television. He, Skeletor from He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, and Shredder from the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series, are the most amazing villains I've seen. Period.
I remember seeing the Street Fighter animated movie mentioned on the internet before, but I've never gotten the chance to watch it. I was never really going to watch the other movies I've mentioned that I like, but I was hanging out with some friends when they brought those movies out, so I thought it would be kind of rude to leave. Funny, I wound up liking them. Maybe this is a sign that I should give more video game movies a try.
As for Pokemon..... The only reason I didn't mention that is, for some odd reason, I kept thinking that it was an anime first. Pokemon is one of my dark secrets. I love that series and I own a handful the movies. I've fallen terribly behind on my collection, though. With my gaming habits overtaking my movie watching, it's been terribly hard to keep up on television programs.
