"How will it escape the trench?"

Attention, this is a post on recruitment for mine and my partners latest project, and you can get involved in the action as well. Read carefully as important details will be shared to whom ever wants to get involved.

The Titanic Trench is a RPG Maker VX Ace engine game based around space and trench, it revolves around human travel and is a Futuristic type game. It is set to be a side-scrolling game adventure game that has elements of horror.

Titanic Trench is a heavy-deep emotional game that focuses on the graphics and atmosphere of the game to keep you interested until the very end. The story is very interesting and is written by veterans that have experience writing games, it is expected to keep you hooked and in your seats until the very end.

You can get more in-dept information here.

My name is Rob, better known for my screenname, pravact. I am an indie game developer and have plenty of experience with that. I have worked on companies like Smallbit Interactive and Blueprint Studios. Nice to meet you. I event and work on stuff along those lines.

Hey, I'm Thomas. 19. Programmer. Have Knowledge with most of the coding languages like Python, C++, Java, HTML, and more. I've worked in many game studios before meeting Rob. Pleasure to meet you. I code custom plugins and make sure they work.

Hey, if you already haven't noticed, we're quite loaded on the programming side of development, but we're both not really great at graphics or music! So its your chance to help! Do you have want to help with the graphics or music of the game? That'll be great, we really want this to become a reality and you can help make it come to reality! Pay is negotiable, but really we want people who want to do this for free and for fun.

The game requires high-quality digital illustrations, we are even thinking about bringing the game into pixels if necessary.

As for music, we require some high-quality music, more on the ambience side, but sometimes will feature a score.

Think about this, it's a game that will be uploaded and you get to be the one that creates graphics for it. Pretty excited isn't it? We also got friends all over the internet that can properly advertise and do all the PR stuff, the boring stuff.

So, what are you waiting for? Act fast and apply!

As stated above, we need both musicians and graphic artists, pay is negotiable but we're looking for people who would do this for free and for fun! If that makes sense. This may become a commercial game in the future and all contributors will get some profit, don't worry.

There are multiple ways you can get involved,

  • Shoot us an email.

Rob - random.pravact@gmail.com
Thomas - thomasteabone@gmail.com

  • You can comment and say if your interested.

  • Private messaging us is always an option.

  • Add me on skype, pravact1.

Thanks all for reading, if you'd like to help out that'll be great and it'll be appreciated. Thanks all and have a great day. :)
Make sure to share this with your friends, make the world a better place!
Act fast, or forever hold your creativity and productivity!

...No. Don't do this. Please, I mean it. I don't want to be rough, but being paid for your work / being able to eat as you work for a project isn't mutually exclusive to having fun or being passionate.
As a matter of fact the most passionate will not avert spending their pennies in order to bring their passinate project to conclusion.

It's a common thing that people request artists that are passionate and work for free. The thing is, most people have zero reason to be passionate with a work that isn't theirs, especially so it they aren't being financially rewarded ie. the time they're working on this project they're not making money to cover the food, rent and electricity they're using to make it.

We're all adults here with needs and bills, and we all have our own projects. Nothing will stop people from liking your project and wanting to work with you but that was, in my opinion, not only somewhat disrespectful but also slightly alienated of the reality of an adult artist. In any case, this seems like a perfectly valid request and you do seem to have interesting skillsets! I look forward to what you create.

Sorry for being a brag but I feel it must be said.
What games have you guys worked on in the past? Show us concrete examples please.

I can't help but agree here. Especially since you've also asked for high quality. Basically, you're asking people with professional talent, at their trade, to help you made your project grand, for charity. That's also robbery.

I will close this out by saying that you should not expect too many takers, as people whose skill levels are good enough to be noticed as 'high quality' will likely be busying themselves with work that gives them something in return.

Hmm... this sounds shady to me. I'm sorry, you probably have the best, most honest intentions but... yeah.

I doubt you are willing to invest money for a game which won't bring you any income in return, unless you are rich philanthropists.

I wouldn't apply for a project without knowing if the game will be commercial or not, or at least be given a price range of what you're willing to invest.

Musicians on the net (I know, I hired one) often charge by the minute. When it comes to graphics, it varies a lot, it also depends on a lot of things.

If you don't reach an agreement about money before going commercial, you are going to face a shit storm which will make your head spin faster than Schwinn bike you got.

All the best in your project. Remember, be transparent!
Hey, I can write music for free, because I'm 14, going on 15. I can write decent music, and have a band of 10 that I can record from.

Good or even decent art doesn't come cheap, especially if you're serious about making a commercial game. When I was serious about finding an artist for my game I had a price limit in mind and a very good idea of what I was looking for. Also, I didn't post looking for help (because that makes you look like you don't know what you're doing.)
