While I like the idea of those shoes, they really clash with the rest of the map, unfortunately. It's probably the black outline on them (and the size). Otherwise, nice.
Also, I'd recommend not using the fade out method with paths. They don't look right. With cobblestones, try to just cut the stones and place them over the top of the grass, then do a few stray pixels for overgrowth. Or have the grass growing between the stones for the edge areas - to show the grout being replaced with moss. It'd me more natural.

About the shoe, I completely agree, but it looked terrible without the black outline. Trust me, it was worse.
For the cobble, I also agree. I wanted to do it like that but the only thing I could use to do that is gimp's eraser too which does not look as real.
Maybe select the pixels to remove (the grout) and then delete them? It's a hassle but it could work. OR! Make your own cobble path by selecting the various pieces and building your own by copy/paste and putting them together. That way you can edit them too, to make broken parts with grass growing up around them and the like.
Of course, it's a slow process... XD
As for the shoes, you could probably just recolour the outline to be based on what colour is next to it, just a darker shade. Like so:

Welp tbh I make these for fun, not for a game, and I save it as a .png afterwards so I can't go back and change it without re-doing the whole thing.
Thx a lot for the advice though :3

No, you make these for money :(
author=EgyLynxUmmm no? I only do commissions for money, I make my own maps for fun, I just want money if it is for someone else's game.

Welp was going through some old stuff and found some maps I liked.

Ummm like I said.... OLD.
This one is new though!

Snow that's what I call a map in the spirit of Christmas! That Santa hat definitely added the icing to the cake!

I came here looking for Frog Maps! Where are they?
Great job by the way.
I'm a frog who maps. Not good enough?
Thanks XD
I made this to give someone some tips on mapping, but quite liked it so I'm sharing it here too.

Ooh! I really like these maps and the composition of them (that sounds fancy). I really like the way you put them together, and I REALLY like your maps using more pixel-y tiles.
Why thank you :D I'm a fan of pixel stuff myself, however I'm just as big of a fan of detailed maps, so I try to do both :3
