CloseHi! I just registered and this is my first post. I'm a 15 yr old and I really really want to learn how to make games, but I have literally zero knowledge about anything, I don't know what "scripts" are or any basic knowledge about making games. But I really want to make games, I just really want to make games. I also noticed that the "RPG MAKER" engine series says you can make games without any programming experience and I just want to know how much of that is true? Also I'm kind of searching for a free game making programs since I can't really afford the rpg maker engine, if you can please recommend me some thank you!

It is true. The engines are a visual development environment where you can create maps, enter heroes and skills and enemies and whatnot, and craft events all from within the editor. Most of them have a trial version that you can try out for free.

Would you consider using RPG Maker VX Ace Lite? It has limits that the full version would not have (this page has a list of said limits), but it's free, and there's no 30-day limit that the trials of RPG Maker engines typically have.
