I need urgent help with something in RPG Maker 2003.
How can I create a spell that increases or diminish an atribute, and WORK properly?
I saw the "Protect, Shell" tutorial here and it worked... but what I need is the OPPOSITE (a spell that, for instance, increase the attack of a character so that the damage he/she deal is BIGGER than the normal damage without the spell).
Can someone help me with this, please?

By default, you can make a skill that raises a stat by a set number of points.
It's pretty simple:
Alternately, a status effect can double base attributes, but this could be unbalanced.

I'd love to have this kind of stat-scaled attribute buffing/healing/damaging rather than the buff system that's been in place since VX.
Keep in mind that while there is a power rating in the buff/debuff skills, they diminish in effectiveness when used repeatedly on a target. I don't know the exact rate, though.

The only problem is that I use the translated (Brazilian Portuguese) version of the RPG Maker 2003 v 1.06. And in this version the things explained don't work :/
I've used the brazilian translated version of RM2k3 for many years and it works exactly the same. >v>'
Can you post a screenshot of those 2 database screens? I don't want to go through the trouble of installing it again.

This is the version I have (RPG Maker 2003, translated by the "Seita da Vaca Louca", v 1.06). This is the screens of the Condition and Skill tabs on database.

You remember what version was that you used, JosephSeraph, and if the buff magic worked on it (and who translated it)?

what the actual fuck????? o_o
uhhh...
all versions i've used worked properly... why would they remove that?????? wtf??????????????? wow
uh
i recommend you either buy the legal version or at least try to find the 1.08, "Mu" version I think
other than that, not much you can do. But hey, if there's one thing missing there's bound to be lots more. You ought to update it asap.

In the official version (the RPG Maker I can buy on Steam or on the RPGMaker site - v 1.10 or 1.11), the accents work properly? Or I have to download some other program to create Portuguese games using Ç, ã, and other letters like these?
Thanks, JosephSeraph :)
I'll buy this version on the RPG Maker website.
(I hope the games I created using the 1.06 version open with this new version :P)

I recommend buying the steam version as it is much, much, much cheaper if you're brazilian. If you can afford, though, by all means buy the rpg maker web version as you'll be supporting the developer way better.
And yeah old games do run on the legal version! The engine converts them. The localized RTP has some different names, though.
edit: i'm absolutely idiotic.
