[RMVX ACE] HOW TO MAKE ITEMS ONLY USABLE BY ONE CHARACTER

Unless I'm just missing something totally obvious, VX ACE doesn't include the option to mark items only usable by X character, right?
If so, is there a script I can use or is there something simple?
Thanks!

Oh! I have a script for that. Give me a minute.
EDIT: Oh, shit! I can't remember how it works...and there are no instructions.
EDIT2: I got it! I remember! I sent you a copy of the script.

Thanks buddy, got your mail!
This issue may be solved but I won't label it as such just yet.

Sadly one of the features removed from 2K/3 and never added back in. But there are scripts and other work arounds.

That's what I thought was lame. It's such a little thing so why not bring it back? But I realize that VX ACE is notorious for that.
In all fairness, the act of removal seemed to have started with XP, once scripts became the norm. VX managed to do it much worse. At least with Ace, they added back in things that should have never been removed to begin with while adding in a few more features.
But two things with 2K/3 I've always missed was indicating who can use what item, and having some control over how battles started (which helped to control ways to start a pre-emptive battle). Both can be done by scripts, but it was nice having them by default.

Exactly, Amerk. Such a small thing too
My current workaround to this issue is having that character be the only one who can use items.
However, I had a game idea where you have 4 party members and each one has their own items. Preferably, each character's respective item menu should not display anyone else's items. So in a way the items are like skills/spells (i.e. specific to that user) except they have a limited number of uses. Like, rather than give a person a fire spell and a healing spell and X magic points, they just get a certain number of both spells.

Without doing anything fancy I realized I don't really need to worry about it that much because the items specific to characters don't even show up anymore in the city for other characters. Since you choose from four classes and one of four different starting location, the item drop is unique to the character's path now.
Thank you everyone for your comments and help, I will still look back to here if anything changes or I find I need it again. :)
