RPG MAKER MV

Hey I'm looking for people who are dedicated to work with us on a project for later commercial release. We're looking for people with the most amount of time possible.

The preferable people:

- Designers who know the minimum for graphics and tile designing

- good even creators or decent ones for that matter

- People who are willing to do this as much as we are

The game we're making is an Open World/Story based game with an already thought out story (however it can be altered if necessary).

Thanks for reading and if you're interested post a reply for us.
or send us an email: ericdias2016@hotmail.com
Please elaborate what kind of game you are making, what themes the story has, how long/large a project it is, what each peep is supposed to do, why they should care enough to join in the first place. Could you name inspirations/similar games to know what you are aiming to do? Who is the "we" you talk about? What can they bring to the table?

And most importantly, what games have you done in the past? What can you bring to the table? Show off your previous works.
You talk about being "willing" and dedicated, but what can you do? What have you done?

.. just a few ideas! With nothing said you won't recruit people, nevermind for free, I'm afraid.

You're magical to me.

Have you ever completed a game before?

It's too bad I'm a slave...
Thank your for replying and for the help.

To be completely honest, the "we" i mentioned is now "me" only, i was working with a team of 2 people (yes a small team...let's say a group then) (not going to mention names or nicknames for privacy) and we were working on a story based open world game like i said in the previous post.

my idea was to share the less information possible to avoid any spoilers on the game but since you're telling me that people wont go with that, i mite as well tell you what i have so far from the previous game we were working on before.

(Also i apologize for any english bad spelling you mite encounter, i'm not an american or english person but i try my best to be as understandable as possible)

The story is not that elaborated yet because it's still e very early development but it's based on a main character who is a spirit collector. he has the power to purify spirits that didn't reach heaven because of their reasons and therefore became evil spirits, so his jobs is to purify them so they can reach heaven to mantain the balance of life. (think it like the ying yang thing).

But because of an much evil force some of the gods of the 5 islands on the map became evil so all the other spirits became evil as well. After some events, the boss of the main character sends him on a mission to purify them all.

this is a very very summed up version of the story, of course i wanted to add more to it because i don't want to make just a "meh" story just another "meh" game, i want it to be memorable. also we were thinking on adding him to be a time guardian: "The main protaganist is a novice summoner that has found himself waking up several hundred years into the future after
the events of the Dark War. Later he finds a way to travel in time to the past before the disastrous events, where he
attempts to fix and change the events of time."

but like i said this can be altered if necessary.

Also by the "willing" i was saying that, the reason why i'm not working with them anymore was because i want to make this game this badly but i can't do it alone, i'm not an artist, i'm just a musician whith a good story (in my opinion) and alot of will, but they weren't doing anything for their own reasons and this happened for alomost 6 months so if i don't have alot of info, you know why now.

I never done any completed game cause i was alone for that matter, i made some demos i have some experience with it, if i don't know something i go check it out i learn and i wont give up till i get it, i can work with Photoshop, i make the music, i prefer working with events not that much with map creating, although i can if i have to and i don't know how to scrip at all.

As for characters I have 4 already decided but it also can be talked about.
but the graphics are predefined with Photoshop edited in it but it's still not enough for me, i want to make something original.

As for the commercial purpose, i'm not even thinking about that, it was their idea to actually later release it for commercial purpose, i just want to make this game because i love making stories and i wanted to have a character and something people would remember, even for the tiniest reason.

The game i wanted to make is probably alot inspired by "UNDERTALE" because of the way it's made and all the easter eggs and how the characters are remembered to this day and how simple it is (i'm not planning to make it simple just saying).

I also have a little demo of a map with a quest that i can share if that helps you to understand it better but it's very early developed so most of the things are predefined.

For now that's everything i can remember, i'm just a normal guy trying to make a team or even friends and to share a cool story with people, that's it.
That is already a lot better! Thank you for the honesty.
Can you share some screens of your demo then?
Now to be honest, recruitment threads are a fairly bad idea early on, because it takes a lot of skill - and thus practice and experience to get to a decent level of implementing the many awesome ideas floating around. Something anyone who got to a decent level first had to learn with tutorials, hard work, and other people's help.

Everyone has ideas. And they are good ideas! But everyone has them, and teaming up is a huge commitment to make if you want to see it through. Not having done so before makes it a gamble, and not having done a game before also means you likely have not yet honed your skilles enough to freely work together. Working together is great when you can put different fields together, but if you are still working on any - then you have a problem. Making games takes a lot of effort and many many hours.

Long story short - I don't think this will work. But I do think you have your heart in the right place, so instead of trying to recruit many people for your game, put that epic complicated one for later.
Do a simple short game, ask for help and tutorials whenever you hit a wall block, get to know other creators around here. If you are musician you can offer to help out other people's projects and show off + use your skills. (hell, reviews n such help too)
There is also the kind of trade thread going on somewhere - like you do map for me, I do song for you.

That way you get to know people around the site, many different creators, you also show that you want to make some stuff, and you even did something you can then point to when you do buddy up.
Teaming up without knowing anything of the other person does not necessarily make it less work, either! It does take a lot to work and grow together, as ideas will need to fit all team member's vision, so everything will be tweaked. At the same time, you can see the fruit of such teamwork, seeing as a few developer who frequently work together or help each other out do so incredibly well.

You need experience, not ideas.
So basicly what you are saying is "nahh don't think you're in luck buddy..mite as well stick with what you can do" xD

I have some screenshots but like i said its still e very early development, and it's fine if i don't get anyone to work with me, i just wanted to make my own game i'm not planning on being a game creator company or work in something like that, it was more to have fun doing something i like to do but coming from my own head. ( i don't know how to put screenshots here u_u)

I could do it alone what i want, i just prefer to have someone else to be apart of because it's more fun, more faster and would likely turn out better, also because, like i said, i'm not an artist nor a code writer.

Thanks for replying though, for now you're the only one xD

Aye, basically.
Gotcha, and that's fine. It's really kool to get people on board, but just showing your progress can help you with keeping at it, too.
Stick to the RTP for the time being and later you can still opt to change assets if you really need to.

There's just many threads like yours popping up, where people haven't done anything before, and are keeping it that way, as they then disappear into the void forever. As such, people are most reluctant to jump onboard if they are vague or by someone inexperienced.
By contrast, small exchanges and helping out is very common and welcome across the boards. There are events to show off or work together every now and then, too. If you just chat with peeps and ask friends or just ask directly it is more likely to happen, too.
Just something to keep in mind ;) There is a lot of snark going on, but the people here are overall friendly. Do feel at ease diving in.
I understand that, believe me, i quit to try and work with people from my country because they always tell me "lets do it! i'm so pumped for this!" and weeks maybe days later they simply give up and worse they don't even tell you anything, because it's more easy when things are already done when they don't have to do anything, so i tried and hope for more professional people (in a nice smooth friendly way, not work way), from other countries, but it seems that it happens as well which is so sad to know.

People like me, and alot of other guys, with a huge will to make things happen simply get flushed out the toilet because, they don't have everything they need but no one else is avaiable to help but when some of those people get recognition then everyone is now avaiable, is just so stupid and sad, but it's how things are. i didn't get the RTP though and i wanted to show you the screens if you want to see them but i don't know how to put them here.

I'm not that sure about friendly ahah besides you, thanks for trying to say how much time i'm wasting looking for people that won't join me, in a nice way.

@Eric- You can use your locker space! Hover over your username in the upper left corner and click on locker.
You can upload images from there and then plug them into your post :D
Such is the way of the world. At the end of the day, it's a gamble to make, and if people could be working on their own games - safely, exactly how they want it to be - or with someone they know nothing about, starting from whether they can finish a game... it's their choice to make, and that is something to respect.
It makes it all the more worthwhile and fun when you DO get to actually work together with someone.

And sorry I forgot that!
You need to link it via the (img)link(/img) -> replace with corner-brackets, which you can also have that automatically done using the picture-icon when writing a post (next to the suitcase/locker symbol), just adding the link.

So to get a link to use you need to upload it, naturally. You can use sites like imgur.com, or add it to your locker on your profile -> toolbar -> name -> locker -> upload file -> then use link (either copy it directly, or select the locker-icon and choose it in your message-editing box)
ohhh now that's convenient XD thanks alot!

Screenshots:

Probably it won't be necessary since you already said what you said but if you need any other info or screen of it let me know.
I'm sorry i got lost in your post it's too much formal xD that or i simply didn't get bc i'm that dumb sorry

ohh now i get it xD sorry, thank you i actually thought you were gonna say it's not that great :/

But like i said, i just wanted to work on a game with some friends not make this something serious like a work thing but serious in a way that we want to make it for real. Like i said i could make this on my own but sharing this with someone else would be alot more fun for me and it would turn out alot better because i don't want to have people working based on something i did but having friends working together sharing ideas to create an awesome game and helping as much as they can on what they can. that's how i see things, i don't usually give up on things because if someone can do it, i can too or die trying specially if i want it to.

You can see my edit? i double post because i don't know if you'll see it :s
Oh? What part? I just said let people be. If they wanna team up, they will. If not, then they don't. Both is okay.
And kool! Looks decent enough :)

PS: Abuse that edit button. Do not double-post
