piano, if you have any uncertainties with regards to balancing, I'd be happy to take a look at your setup. I don't know how much insight I'd be able to give, but I have hosted my fair share of games, "Council of Death" having similar rules. :)

No, there'll be no obligatory first death. Besides, the end of phase death scenes are all drawn instead of written. So that's one less strip I have to draw.

Hm. Wouldn't that make town a lot more powerful than mafia, though? After all, the agents then don't only know who their fellow agents are. But anyone claiming to be an agent while they are not would also almost immediately be found out, since a whole group of actual agents could unanimously testify against them. Mafia could not fake such a thing either, as that would out them as soon as one member of either group dies.
I'm not trying to bash your setup, pianotm, just wondering.

Well, lets say your an agent. The only two things they could be is town or mafia. Likely Mafia if they are lieing. This means if anyone pretents to be something their not, the mafia knows they are agent or town and they need to kill em and agent knows thy must be a not great town or a mafia, and knows who to lynch.
It would e risky to come forward, but with a little luck that stratagy does work, which nay be good or it may be bad, who knows what'll happen.
Maybe each agent has a codename in the chat so they can't reveal themselves to eachother, so agents don't know who other agents are to some extent but can guess via how they write? Or maybe a mafia mole in the spies and visa versa so they can't reveal to eachother who they are? I dunno, Piano it's your call! :D

I'm anticipating there will be a *lot* of people going around claiming to be agents. Looking forward to it.
Oh, yeah, that's something that sometimes happens. Whenever there's a third party role, there's player's who will try to take advantage of it.

We've already reached our minimum! If we hit 14 before Saturday, I may start early. That's assuming we get a full 15 and Marrend drops out. I'd like if Marrend could join us, though.
Like I said before, my ability to play/participate will probably be limited (if not outright impossible) until I get back from this trip next Monday. Even then, I might want to give myself until that Tuesday (or Wednesday) to play catch-up.
It does seem possible to have 14 players without me, and I kinda feel like waiting on me to be ready-to-play would hold this game back? I dunno.

My little brother (oddRABBIT) has been pestering me to play this game all week. His non-stop hassling reached its peek today when he made a mad dash to the library to get me an account because he made too many of them at our home IP.
I'm pretty sure if I don't cave now he's gonna mope for the next two months, so like, assuming this is still an option (I haven't even gotten to read the rules yet, let alone check to see if there's still slots available tbh),

Wait, oddRABBIT, you made more than one account?
You'd best let kentona know about any alternate accounts you have. He probably won't mind as long as you never use them, but people have been IP banned for alt accounts in the past, so you don't want staff to find out on their own.

I had made them many years ago, and kept forgetting my passwords. I also ended up forgetting about this site, and so, when I finally found it again, I made a final account that is this one.
So, all of those old accounts (I think three?) aren't even accessible anymore, and are therefore useless.
