OMG!! She was Batman! (Kind-of) Yes!!
I'm sorry Libby! #cancel
Hmmm, I asummed if they attack your person, you die instead right? That's scary, it means its very likely we'll only have Libby for a little bit.

Oh and thank you guys for trusting in me again! Now let's catch Mr.Mafia guy ad show him the noose!

Um... Awkwardly for me that means I really dunno, I would say Isrieri since he's the only one that seems suspicious at all, but I'm sure that's wrong... I admit it now, I have no idea who to bad guy is if it's not Libby, so I won't vote yet!
Ratty524
The 524 is for 524 Stone Crabs
12986
:/ How are people still thinking Libby is even remotely suspicious now?

Anyway, I'm going to admit something, I only posted part of Tangled's Master Chat Log just to cut it down to new, more pertinent information that isn't already stated. However, now that we are trying to analyze the way people type/spell and the issue of American/British English was brought up, I think there is something crucial to take notice of:

In case I Die, Here is the Master Log so far:
_______________________________________________________________
Mr. Black=Tangledlion/Agent-Tom
Mr. Green=???
Mr. Orange=LockeZ

pianotm:Welcome to the Spy vs. Mafia Scum Chat! We'll start at noon time, CST on Friday!
05-04-2016 05:06 PM ET (US)

Special alert. It has come to my attention that there may be a double agent. Be careful what you discuss.

Mr.Black:Manchester James Black At your Service! But Can call me Mr. Black, A Alias Obviously, can't be too Careful with a double agent around...

Speaking of, should we say who we Really are Now, to help each other more, or do we wait til one of us gets in hot water with the town? I'm game for either...
05-04-2016 06:32 PM ET (US)

Mr. Green:Mr. Green is reporting for duty. It is probably best not to say who we are unless we really need to out ourselves. The PM did say that others may be watching so we cannot be too careful.
05-04-2016 09:47 PM ET (US)

Mr. Orange:No. We have code names for a reason, this is not a secure line
05-04-2016 09:48 PM ET (US)

Mr. Green:I just asked piano if there were any details in the Town and Agent PMs that aren't in ours - way things are worded differently, for example, so that we do not get caught out by people referring to stuff in their PMs that we don't have. Better safe than sorry.
05-04-2016 09:57 PM ET (US)

Mr.Black:Good Idea Green, Don't want to be unprepared...
05-04-2016 11:09 PM ET (US)

Mr. Green:Apparently they are the same, though rule 5 indicates mafia instead of agents.
05-05-2016 12:06 AM ET (US)

Mr.Black:Ok Mates, So, I think We Should Figure out who to kill when the night cycle comes round, I personally think it should be Ratty, Since we have no way of knowing who the agents are at this point, we might as well just pick some rando...
05-06-2016 05:41 PM ET (US)

Mr. Orange:The problem with choosing who to kill overnight is we don't know who each-other are. If one of us suggests "Kill X" and another one of us is X, then X has to give away his or her identity.

I propose this method:

I'll list four possible people I think would be good targets to lynch. Each of you then tell me which of those four you think I should pick. Tell me it's a "weak preference" if it's just your opinion of which one would be the best target. Tell me it's a "strong preference" if you are one of the other three people. Based on your preferences I'll pick who to kill tonight.

If both of you have a strong preference, and you prefer two different people, I'll pick someone else to kill who wasn't in my list of four people (to ensure I'm not killing scum).

Tomorrow we'll do the same thing except Mr. Green will choose the list, and on day three Mr. Black will choose the list.

Sound like a plan? It's a little convoluted, but it ensures our safety as well as I think is reasonably possible.
05-06-2016 06:38 PM ET (US)

Mr.Black:Sounds better than my plan, Let Piano know that is how we are doing things...
05-06-2016 07:12 PM ET (US)

pianotm:I should actually clarify this, because that is an important point. I had decided to do this from the beginning.

You can only use your night kill power together, meaning, you have to decide here to kill. That greatly reduces the chances of hitting each other by accident. But in the unlikely chance you accidentally target each other, the kill will miss, and hit another player. Because it's a little unfair, I'm tipping the roll in double favor of vanilla town, but there's still a chance you'll hit an agent that way.

Now, that's for scum's main night kill power, only. Any other power does not need to be discussed in here.

To be clear, you are not immune to night kills, just to night killing each other.
05-06-2016 07:56 PM ET (US)

Mr.Green:What if we create a list of possible kills each, then whittle that down to 3 or 4 between us (there may be some overlap between them). After that we apply Mr Orange's idea. In this way we each of us have a hand in creating the list of kills - no one person has the power to decide who is applicable for death. No offence meant to you, Mr Orange, but if you are a spy within our midst, it would not do well for us to allow you to control the names of the people we choose to lynch.

Thus far I believe we should set our aims for some of the more experienced hands such as Yellow Magic, Isrieri, Liberty and LockeZ. Ratty is another viable option to add to that list, too.
05-07-2016 04:06 AM ET (US)

Mr. Orange:Fair enough. Just understand that by doing so, you're giving out more data each day about who you aren't.
05-07-2016 06:18 AM ET (US)

Mr. Orange:We'll leave it up to each person whether they want to suggest names for the list or not. I'm not going to force you to, and I have no intention of doing so when I'm not the one making the list.
05-07-2016 06:21 AM ET (US)

Mr. Green: While it does give out a little more information about ourselves, it does not leave the power in any one person's hands to pick which is dangerous if the person who picks is the possible spy among us. I would much rather not have one person have all the power when it comes to the kill vote, and choosing the possible candidates is quite a power.

Although another way to go about it would be to hand that power off each night phase - so one person pick on day 1, another on day 2, another on day 3.

Or perhaps we discuss people as they appear to be good choices and then pick from those during the night phase.

Giving one person the unlimited ability to pick our possible kills for us is quite an idiotic thing to do.
05-07-2016 08:37 AM ET (US)

Mr. Orange: I did say to hand it off each night phase...
05-07-2016 09:49 AM ET (US)

Mr.Black:I Say we go with Green's Variant Of decision Making. It Seems the best way to avoid Wasting a hit on anyone. It makes sense...
05-07-2016 04:53 PM ET (US)

Mr. Green:So Ratty is Mr Orange. I suppose this means we need to send in the rescue party. Of course, if any of us chooses to remove our vote on you (assuming either Mr Black or I have one) that would seem quite suspicious if you are lynched and thus found out. That said, I'm sure one of us can try to throw a line or two your way, if we do not have a problem with outing ourselves to each other, of course.

Oh, Mr Black, which of my variants were you alluding to? The one where we each of us point out a few likely candidates or the one where we just discuss possible people as they pop up and see if any overlap brings us to a logical conclusion of names. Or perhaps the passing off each night?
05-07-2016 05:23 PM ET (US)

Mr. Orange:I'm not Ratty. I believe he's just listening to our chat without speaking.
05-07-2016 05:35 PM ET (US)

Mr. Orange:Unless of course you're Ratty, Mr. Green.
05-07-2016 05:39 PM ET (US)

Mr. Green:Of course, if you were Ratty you would deny straight out being Ratty here. If the case is that you are not Ratty and that he is just watching our chat, we should perhaps just let the blighter hang. He's not mafia so what should it hurt? This way he would not cause trouble later down the road by exposing our strategies. Never leave a living witness, I say.
05-07-2016 05:46 PM ET (US)

Mr. Green:Ah, but if he turns out to be an agent, anyone who lynch-voted him would be suspect. Perhaps it would be best to hold off for a while just in case.
05-07-2016 05:55 PM ET (US)

Mr. Orange:Yeah, Ratty needs to die.

Ratty's clearly not actually mafia. He voted to lynch TangledLion, the one person in this chat room whose identity was extremely obvious (because you capitalize random words, you snurdburglar). If Ratty were mafia, he wouldn't have known which person in scum chat was the double agent - he wouldn't have voted against TangledLion like that. But if he was the double agent, he would know that everyone else in scum chat was mafia, so voting for any of us would make sense.

But then TangledLion also admitted to being the double agent. So I assume that they're both against us.
05-07-2016 05:56 PM ET (US)

Agent-Tom:Welp, Looks like ratty handed you the win, GG
05-07-2016 05:58 PM ET (US)

Mr. Orange:And now there are agents in here!
05-07-2016 06:05 PM ET (US)

Mr. Green:Well then, Agent Tom, hats off to you. And who shall we kill tonight, Mr Orange?

@piano, if we find someone is an agent can we ignore their input on kills? It's quite likely that they will not allow us to kill their partner, after all, and will likely try to cause a blockage. As a matter of fact, they may try to stop us from killing anyone at all. Is that a possibility?
05-07-2016 06:07 PM ET (US)

pianotm:It was a possibility but it's limited now; it was a problem I caught while waiting for the beginning of day phase. Your game is not unwinnable.
05-07-2016 06:22 PM ET (US)

Mr. Orange: Radio silence until night phase.
05-07-2016 06:26 PM ET (US)

pianotm:I am counting your vote, Double Agent. You never had a specific kill ability. Your vote here was majority rules and I don't think mafia will be voting with you anymore. I was referring to something different.
05-07-2016 06:48 PM ET (US)

Mr. Green:I shall honor my fallen comrade and speak no more in this room until the pestilence that is the rat be removed. I do abhor rodents so.

Do my votes now mean nothing? Perhaps it would be best that I not vote at all and allow my fellow scum to choose a name, hm? Who will you kill, Mister Black. Or should I call you Tom?
05-07-2016 08:50 PM ET (US)

Agent-Tom:So, Who do you want dead you "snurdburglar" As Dear Departed LockeZ would Say, Hmmm ;)
05-07-2016 08:51 PM ET (US)

Mr. Green:You, preferably, Mister Lion. Or your little Rat friend.
05-07-2016 08:52 PM ET (US)

Agent-Tom:Well, I Would Never Vote For Myself... Or Him
05-07-2016 08:53 PM ET (US)

pianotm:I do not allow stalemates. Dice rolls decide all.
05-07-2016 08:54 PM ET (US)

Mr. Green:The Rabbit. #kill oddRABBIT
05-07-2016 08:55 PM ET (US)

pianotm:Mr. Black, you are in an interesting position. You could vote, and know there's a 50 percent chance of whoever you vote for getting lynched. You also know that if you vote for mafia, your vote will miss and hit someone else. This must be an interesting conundrum for you.
No matter what you do, town will die this night.
05-07-2016 08:56 PM ET (US)

Mr. Green:Wait. #cancel Your roll is random, meaning that it may also hit agents? If that proves to be true then I shall vote for any that the turncoat does not. A stalemate with a random chance of destroying a foe is a better option for me
05-07-2016 08:57 PM ET (US)

Agent Tom:After some Deliberation I Vote #kill Joyless

I will Find you, you sick Monster!

Know this, I have Given the other agents a MASTER Chat Log, WITH TIMESTAMPS! You Can't Win!
05-07-2016 09:17 PM ET (US)

Look at the words I highlighted in Mr. Green's posts, both "blighter" and "offence" are distinctly British terms/alternate spellings, contrary to what was pointed out earlier. This is why I questioned who else uses that type of English other than Liberty, Kloe, or YM?

If they are the only ones, Liberty and Kloe are ruled out for reasons I already stated.

So that... Actually kind of leaves YM, unless again there is someone else.

Gourd, I didn't see your post, but now I just did, if Libby is the protector, she isn't a bad person, she's town! The only bad thing would be if she protected Mafia by mistake.

Oh and I forgot to say WOW, Psy, that seems really technical, honestly I don't een know those terms, sentense inversion, does that mean backwards? Psy I think you're just the thing we need if we would wanna work out who it is via writing style!
I was considering the possibility of her being a lying mafia - I was just stating the role claim is convenient for her if she is scum.

I added that I don't believe she is mafia, but if she IS, we have plenty of time to see if she is and we should vote for somebody else.

That english slang is pretty illuminating, ratty!

OMG! Ratty, the second one green says, that implys they were in last game.
And I don't use a whole lot of English phrases.
One thing that may jut be a coincidence, when Green mentions the names of the experienced players, what if he put his own name so it wouldn't just rule out those names if we saw that post via Double Agent.
Ratty, as an agent, do you get any powers other than Agency chat?
Ratty524
The 524 is for 524 Stone Crabs

That's a possibility, since they put down LockeZ's name down there. That post came before everyone knew who each other was.

The signals it raises on my end, however, is that whoever Green is, he may be one of the players who hasn't been in a lot of games.

I use "Crikey" a lot though.
I'm thinking Isrieri or Gourd, I dunno, honestly that may just be since I have nothing better than a hunch.
This is about Harold isn't it kloe

Nuh uh. Um... Okay possibly. But you also don't directly strike out as innocent, like Libby or Ratty or I guess YM, and me possibly.
Why is that? I don't think I've really done much different than those people and YM or Libby's writing style matches better than mine does.
Isrieri

You guys need to really update your sleuthing skills.

All of those people are town. So is oddRabbit. Kloe is also confirmed town for my previously stated reasons. I now understand that I was wrong: If either Liberty or Yellow Magic was Mr. Green, it is unthinkable to me that they would volunteer their own selves

That leaves TungerMan, NeverSilent, and Gourd. I'm gonna let Ratty call this one.

...But I think it might be Gourd.

#cancel
#lynch GourdClae

(Ratty I really could have benefited to see this a lot earlier. This is crucial information right here, man!)

I seriously thought people wouldn't pay attention if it was that long.

Honestly, I still feel like Tungerman is the most suspicious of all of them.

... Or do we have ANYTHING on NeverSilent?

Not really...
I get your point about people glossing over it, that makes sence.

For now, I think my safest bet is to #lynch Isrieri because I have no other ideas, and because in an hour I need to go to school so I may as well have a lynch vote active at all times!

Its Gourd for real:

author=Liberty
I protected Ratty last night

author=Ratty
definitely know, on my end, that I was protected last night, but I couldn't piece together who did it.

author=Gourd
Just going to point out that being a doctor or some variant is super convenient as a fake claim for mafia because all they have to do is not kill the one they're "protecting".

In that order. Its Gourd.

Also he knew that me, YM, Liberty, and LockeZ were experienced players. I don't think Tunger or NeverSilent have played with us as much as Gourd has.

Town wins.
Kloe

Isrieri, Ratty knew he was protected meaning he was, Ratty probably missed Libby's post and that means you're probably right, Gourd's claim doesn't work, which yes, makes me think a bit more it's Gourd, it does not MAKE him the Mafia.
Isrieri

Well, just because he claims Libby could be the mafia, claiming he thinks Libby is the mafia, could just be him trying to cause a reaction, to gauge what we think, it doesn't make HIM the mafia, it just means he's finding the truth in an inefficient way.
For now though, as you do definitely make sence,#Cancel, #lynch Gourd
Ahaha yeah after reading all that, that's definitely not you Kloe, sorry.

I haven't had a chance to go back and fully compare Green's complete scumchat log to everyone that's still under suspicion, but here's some stuff:
- Green starts out with English spellings (plus blighter) but drops the 'u' from honor /after/ LockeZ is dead and the chat is compromised. So possibly they're a non-American who cottoned and changed their style, or a non-native speaker
- Orange suggests that the mafia abstain from voting against Ratty. Voting for/against Ratty on day 1 shouldn't be considered evidence
- Green has a habit of not using contractions, see "do not" "cannot," "would not," etc, but still uses the occasional "don't"
- Green has minor usage issues, see "caught out," "who is applicable for death" - and possibly "pestilience"

Isrieri has a pretty distinctive voice so I highly doubt it's him unless he took steps from the start to disguise himself. Gourd also throws around ! ~ ... XD so for the same reason I suspect him less. Gourd is also American so let's not lynch him, okay? My best guess would be NeverSilent at this point, but it's worth noting that on page 1, NeverSilent spells "honour" but Green spells it "honor"... but this is after the scum realize they're being watched. Tungerman is suspicious. YM is vaguely suspicious but ehh.

But I reallly think it's more likely NeverSilent at this point than Gourd. If someone wants to read through every single post in this thread I'm sure they'll be able to find something.
