I would be, but instead I'm on RMN.
How bad was McCain?

I'm currently watching sport on the tv at the moment while i'm posting.
I've never been interested in these.

You should be...after all, it's the fate of the universe America, here. I was impressed with how well Obama defended himself against McCain's assualts.
George Bush should have interfered with the debate like a WWF match
In the middle of a sentence, his intro music starts playing and a giant screen drops down and he starts owning everyone etc
So I watched this and was absolutely astonished that John McCain didn't manage to directly answer a single one of the questions posed by their Moderator. It was genuinely a cringe-worthy experience, and I was especially embarrassed that he didn't couldn't even muster enough respect to look at his opponent in the eye. Shameful.
McCain probably came off well to the crowd he was selling too, but came off as a bumbling idiot to everyone else.
Obama was too nice and needs to more aggressively counter McCain's attacks.
/end assessment.

Yeah, Obama should have attacked a lot harder. If he did, he would have had that easily. Neither one won, IMO.
Obama: I agree with John....
McCain: Barack Obama doesn't get....
Obama: I agree with John...but..
McCain: Barack Obama doesn't get....
Obama: Tim...uh...I mean John...YOU WERE WRONG!
McCain said some pretty stupid things, though. He dodged questions a lot, and didn't even face Obama. His body language was really stale compared to his.

I think there ought to be a law in place that says that if neither candidate can come off as a competent adult in televised debates, we spend all the money that they would've spend on their campaigns to bring another president back from the dead to lead us for the next four years. My vote, as always, is for Teddy Roosevelt.
I had to change the channel only ten minutes in because these two were just pitiful from the very beginning.

Basically, yeah, now that I think about it. McCain Was always emphasizing his experience over Obama (as that's his supposed "strength"). I can't tell you how many times he said "I traveled here" or "Obama didn't go there" or "Obama doesn't seem to understand." Etc, etc.
It was frustrating that they both skirted the questions so much, but at least Obama explained his reason why for one of them. It was on the budget question where they were asked what they would suspend from their presidential plans to fund the bailout of the financial crisis. Obama said he couldn't say specifically what would be suspended, because he needed to know what funding would be available when the decision must be made. Meanwhile, McCain says "SUSPEND EVERYTHING!" I dunno...
