Now, I'm not going to test any of you to see if you can figure out that this is a satire. The title makes it pretty clear.

Star Wars is just an unfunny Space Balls.
We all know Star Trek rips off the infinitely superior Babylon 5.

Beets. Bears. Battlestar Galactica.
I watched a video once where a millennial was talking about the evolution of hardware technology through the 8-16 bit eras.
One of his big points was about how people owned a Nintendo, then they upgraded to a Sega Genesis, and then they upgraded to a Super Nintendo. I wanted to grab him by the collar and scream in his stupid face that it wasn't so. Yours was either a Nintendo household, and so you went from NES to SNES, or you lived in a Sega household, where it was a Genesis right until the PSX.
But I couldn't physically assail him, so I left my thoughts in the youtube comments instead because fuck my life ._.
Funnily enough I started with a Sega Master System and moved to a SNES, so... XD

I started with an NES and moved to a Genesis.
Did you then move to a SNES?

Oddly our family went:
Sega MS > SNES > PSX > PS2 > Wii > PC
though there were a few handhelds of the Nintendo variety in between.

THAT SAID, this reminds me of that piece where someone went off on how Harry Potter stole from Twilight and how JK should be ashamed for her blatant theft! Like, omg!

No really.
Even if you don't have your chronological order straight, it's hard to see how Star Trek could in any way be based upon Star Wars, unless you think the entire things-happening-in-space thing was entirely without precedent.

Nope, I didn't own an SNES until around 6 or 7 years ago.

One of the few cases where I think the name marketed in the West was better than the original name.
