CAN YOU MAKE MONEY OFF OF RPGMAKER GAMES
Posts
When you publish it, insist on getting paid for it. You can also put it on Steam and there are other services like itch.io and Game Jolt (a new feature!) that let you set a minimum price. This site lets you sell your games too, only your download has to be offsite because RMN rules require downloads on your gamepage to be free.
And no, it doesn't have to be default. As long as you own the rights to use the assets, you'll be able to use it. Be careful of graphics packs that aren't meant for any of the RPG Makers. Some of them have proprietary licensing regulations that forbid you from using them with other game makers.

Well, if everything in your game is by default and you sell it, prepare to be bashed.
You should only go commercial when you're pretty sure your game really stands out over the typical RPG Maker games.

They told me I was mad when I said I was going to create a spidertable. Who’s laughing now!!!

Remnants of Isolation makes some nice pocket change, so yes, it can be done.
You probably won't make a living off of it, but you can maybe buy ice cream every other week.

What platform do you suggest sooz?

Shit, I dunno, whatever you're comfortable with. Like, RoI was VXAce, because that's what Uni and Red wanted to use.
It's more about making a good game with the tools you have than about what tools you're using.
Make a few free games first and establish yourself as a dev. Coming right out of the gate with a commercial game is a big risk.

I want to know if I can Make Money making rpgmaker games
One thing you absolutely learn to do as a pro is take criticism. I'm glad to see that you've un-deleted some of your games that didn't get the review score you wanted, but I still feel you have a ways to go in that department.

This. Prove you can do it and do it well before you try to sell them.
If you're seriously thinking about making a commercial game, redwall, I would highly, highly suggest actually completing a non-commercial game (or five) first, and
absolutely do not
remove/hide the gamepage as soon as you get negative feedback. You cannot improve as a game-dev if you keep running from critique rather than learning from the mistakes that you made.

Oh dear, this is that guy?
Yeah, learn to cope with people not liking your stuff, because people are like a jillion times harsher when you're asking for money.

i heard steam charges you 100bux just for having the permission to launch your game in the pit of despair that is steam greenlight, so i was kind of thinking about other options

Can't help you there; we're on Steam via a third party, so I can't really give any pros/cons. vOv
You can probably google around and see if anyone's made a list or something.

The 100 dollary-doo thing was partly to introduce some sort of quality control, but it obviously didn't work.

Makes me wonder where the hell people get all this money just to put games up.

There's a fair amount of money to be had from computer-related jobs.
Most people making games have a lot of computer skills.
Also $100 really isn't that much in real world cash.
