DELVE INTO THE DUNGEON: RMN PLAYS!
Posts
Episode 6
The watery depths are home to mangled and crazed fishmen. It's time to clear them out. Will Happy, Gourdy, Capage and Red Nova work together well enough to survive the deeps of the Cove, or will another fall?

Yay, made it out alive! Also, wow I didn't realize you can use so many different items on curios.
Our play style is so different though, hah. I find myself trying to neutralize easy targets always as fast as possible and heal a lot more. Well, at least with Occultists as their heal is so powerful.
A few tips I'm not sure whether you know or not:
- You can easily check character buffs and debuffs from the small arrows under their portrait. I thought I'd point this as you didn't notice my buff when I got one and you were wondering what it was. Some traps also leave really nasty debuffs, which you did cure with the item pretty soon at least!
- Guild is really useful and buying new skills is recommended. When making the line up the biggest circles indicate that the characters can use all of their equipped skills. On this run many of the characters were missing out on a skill because their placing wasn't ideal. If you buy more skills though, you can customize their skillset to match the party line up better!
- You can revert your party back to its default order from the "refresh" looking icon in the mini map tab in your inventory.
Anyway, really entertaining still. :p But damn, Red Nova, such a stressing companion! It's always fun when someone turns out virtuous.
Oh and at one point one of the enemies had a "protection" buff by the tank type enemy, so the tank took the hit instead. Wasn't a missclick!
And wow, typical: WIP took and left.

This has been a great series. I like watching Liberty's skill improve as well. I've considered requesting an additional slot in this, but you know what? Gredge dying first is timeless. I think I'll leave it at that.
Be careful on this day of great affliction.

Shamelessly stolen from Darkest Dungeon's reddit.

Wow, Liberty, you're producing these episodes almost faster than I can watch them! Almost.
I hope you're having fun making these videos yourself, too. Because every time I finish watching an episode, I already can't wait for the next one.
Haha! I didn't even realise the irony of that before you pointed it out. That's hilarious!

Wowsers, I'm in. Capage is a punk. She kills with a cool.
Can't eat when under pressure, that's typical me.
My favorite characters so far:
Gredge, The First
Marrend with A Bludgeon of Faith
Nova, The Red Dawn
Liberty, The Brave
WIP, The Sawyer
and Capage

I'm glad people are enjoying the episodes! I'm also having a lot of fun making them (7 and 8 are already made, just waiting uploading) - it's just so fun seeing whether I manage to get through an area or not.
I wasn't sure that this would be my cup of tea, game-wise, but damn it's been fun so far. X3

Episode 7
Marrend, Gourdy, Ocean and ankylo dive into the depths of the pig-pen, but one is lost forever in the fetid stench of that place. May they be ever remembered...

If only you didn't go into that last room >.< That's okay though! The freaking out was funny XD I thought it was hilarious when you said nothing much had changed when ocean became masochistic.
I think Red is my favorite character so far, although anky is a very good unit! I'm pretty good, but of course I am~
It's nice knowing someone is going to die, because you say "It's alright" a lot right before the shoe drops. XD
I'm enjoying the series in case you couldn't tell!

Red_Nova
Sir Redd of Novus: He who made Prayer of the Faithless that one time, and that was pretty dang rad! :D

I don't want my dog to die. That's why I'm always pressuring you all to leave. No one wants to see the dog die.
But hey, I keep getting more awesome with every fight, further reinforcing the time-tested fact that dogs are the best thing ever.

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Watching you walk right past the giant treasure chest at the end of episode 4 was painful, lol.
Here are some more interface tips.
At the end of each run you keep leaving people super stressed instead of putting them in the bar or church to relieve stress. You know you can de-stress everyone, right? There are six slots to relieve stress at the beginning of the game (three in the bar and three in the church), and you can buy more. Stress does not go down on its own, the only way to relieve it is to send the person on a stress-relief activity for a day. Every time you finish a mission, you should usually be sending all four people who were in that mission into the bar and church to relieve the stress they got.
There's no difference in difficulty between the Cove/Warrens/Weald/Ruins. They just have different categories of enemies. The difficulty is a separate thing. There are apprentice/veteran/expert missions in each area, and short/medium/long missions of each difficulty.
You can mouse over the torch at the top of the screen to see how much light is remaining. Each torch increases the light by 25%. I've noticed you keep stopping using torches when the light is between 50% and 75%, when you could be using another one.
When you walk up to a trap you have to click on it from a safe distance to disarm it. If you are about half a tile away from it, it'll highlight when you mouse over it, letting you know you can click on it. Occasionally it'll trigger anyway, though.

There was a treasure chest at the end of episode 4? Wow, totally missed that one. XD
- I know I can destress everyone, but in my first not-shown playthrough of the game I spent all my money doing so and had nothing to outfit excursions on. Going into the dungeon with no supplies? Not exactly a good idea. Ups the death rate by a LOT, for some weird reason.
- I know about the difficulty curve, too. I'm picking based on if someone has an issue with the area in question or not, usually, and then based on if I've been in there recently. Which is why I shook things up a bit.
- Yup, knew about the torch. I want treasure to be worth something and your treasure finds increase with lower torchlight. Besides, I don't want to blow through my torches too fast.
- Yeah, I figured that was true of the traps - also, based on which character has better trap disarming.
I've got the basics down, I just play a devil-may-care kinda game I guess. I've noticed I stick around to the end of a dungeon when it might be better to gtfo while I'm still alive and kicking (sorry Marrend! ;.; ) and it's all about that loot game. After running out once I can say it's not fun at all - kinda drives you into the ground - besides, there are town events that decrease stress for everyone in the Hamlet that exist. I think one popped up in episode 6 or 7? And I believe they lose a little stress each time sitting on the bench, though it's definitely not much. I'll double-check next time. I just think it's better to line up a couple for stress healing and try to keep the money up so you can buy armour and weapon upgrades and supplies - you never know when you're going to need the cash. >.<;

If you're ever low on gold you can always sell your trinkets. Most low level trinkets are pretty useless, even to the point of being detrimental if you don't use them in exactly the right situation. (For example, the one that gives blight resist and lowers dodge is only good in the weald and warrens, and only if you don't have a plague doctor or camping skill to remove blight, and even then it's pretty questionable.)
The second day/week in a row in the sanitarium... Hahaha :D
I like her comment about shackles, but we all know that's a good thing ;)
My fellow ally, rest in piece, t'were it not for entering that last room, you'd have your life. May you be remembered as a brave person, even if you usually stay at the back.
Also I love how it's often "Let's bring Kloe, oh wait she has tetanus" or "Let's bring Kloe, oh no she's getting drunk".

Lol, you claim you want low light for the extra loot, but then when you get more loot than you can carry at 17:00, you discard it instead of using up your torches to fill the light back up, or discarding your holy water that's useless for anything except obtaining more loot.
The town events are new since I played. Kinda neat. I'm waiting for some negative ones where the villagers attack your estate with pitchforks.
I nominate XoeisCool for a jester and Craze for a hellion.

Yeah, I didn't say it was smart exactly, but it is why I tend to play with low light. And hey, I was just discarding stuff to make way for better stuff. Torches, though, are still needed and you can't use them all up in one sitting~ ;p
Please don't jinx me with the villager events ;.;
I might add them in after we get the rest of our crew sorted out and done.

Oh yeah. Oops. I forgot I set that up as a scheduled public thing. XD
Episode 8
Join kentona, Tevak, Liberty and Capage as they delve into the pig-pit once more, hoping to find treasure beyond measure and defeat the dark. Will they succeed or will death come knocking once more? Can an Antiquarian really be a useful ally?
