As the title already says, I'm trying to find out how to make the game screen bigger. To be more exact, make the game show a screen bigger than 544x416. I'm well aware that it can be done, I just don't know how to do so. What scripts would I need to edit to alter the dimensions of the game screen?

On a side note, is it OK if I just keep asking for help here, instead of searching for any tutorials first? I'm slowly starting to feel like a prick for constantly asking for help without having searched for a solution on my own beforehand.

In Ace you can only increase the window size to 640x480 and to do so you need to add this line in Main, right before the rgss_main:

Graphics.resize_screen(640, 480)

Well, it would be nice if you tried google first. I don't use ace, so i googled and the first result gave me the solution i'm giving you, but people won't hold it against you if you don't google first, unless you make like a barrage of easy to find questions nonstop and clog the forum, but i don't think you'd ever do that.

Thanks for the fast response Mirak and I'll try to google easy stuff like this before asking in the forums. It really felt as if this question was too easy to be asked here.

Also, I love how you constantly change your avatar, in my opinion it gives your avatar more personality.

Or you can just drop Yanfly's Ace Engine Core into your scripts and it will resize automatically, plus let you use other scripts by Yanfly that are really useful for enhanced formatting. Unfortunately, 640 x 480 is the maximum size the program will allow. As for making things appear bigger, you already know how to make sprites larger, and the tiles, you should be able to work with. You can't change the size of the autotiles, but you can make other layer tiles any size you want.

Thanks pianotm, but I'm trying to avoid entire script systems made by other people. I know that they can do amazing things, but knowing myself, using other peoples scripts would encourage me not to better my own scripting skills and I can't have that. Specially not if I want to be a full fledged programmer in the future!
