STRUCTURE MAFIA [NIGHT 3]
Posts
So, if we kill Ozzy now and he turns out to be town too, we will have Psy, a clear scum, Frogge a claimed neutral and me, odd and Piano as towns.
Two of us get dead during the night phase and there will be a neutral, a scum and a town left. We can't win that situation.
Also, sacrificing his own team mates, would give Psy an 'unfair' advantage. He would be able to kill two other towns during night or get rid of Frogge, who can cause a checkmate.
We need to hit the last scum now or no-lynch and see where the night brings us. In that case we will be left with two towns at-least and a winnable situation. I'm not countering my previous speech against Snow. I think we needed to see him dead this round as there was no other way to prove him innocent. Sorry, Fox.
Also, hammer should be three votes now.

Ok, a lot happened while I was asleep. Like, A LOT.
Alright then, I see psy is aiming to get rid of me like crazy, which isn't good for DELTA FORCE. You see, I now suspect psy more than I did before. Yes it's true he helped town, but so did I. Besides, one thing you people don't know about psy, is how he proposed what to analyze. On the very first day of the game, he proposed to analyze our own team to see if we had a traitor, and snowfox and me both agreed. Psy dropped the idea of self analyze very fast after that, telling us that he 'trusted' us. But I never really dropped the idea, piano can confirm that I've peoposed multiple times throughout the mafia game to analyze DELTA FORCE, but multiple times psy said it wasn't needed.
Now, yes, if he's scum, proposing to analyze DELTA FORCE would've been a risky move, but seeing how he proposed it he could easily dismiss it by just saying that he trusts us. What should also be said, is that we knew early in the game, was it day 2?, that psy was the analyzer in our team and yet, he did not get nightkilled. If I would be scum, then why didn't I nightkill psy? His analyze ability is very dangerous for scum and yet, he didn't get targeted a single time. I find that very suspicious. Besides, piano proposed, the night we killed CAVE, that maybe CAVE was playing the ultimate scum play, by killing his teammates and securing himself as town. What if psy is doing the same? I'd urge you guys to analyze this theory. Besides, although I know this is not much of a defense point, I'm a newbie in this, how in the world am I supposed to be scum and go away withbit for so long? If I would be scum, wouldn't it have been smarter to just kill off the entire DEKTA FORCE so that scum can have 2 nightkills?
This is my input on this entire situation, that being said, I hope we can catch scum before it's too late.

Ok now I actually feel like Ozzy's innocent :\ To be fair, he defended himself pretty well. That being said, I'm not getting much of scum vibes from Psy either. I'm convinced at this point that odd is town aswell.
So, random.org it shall be! 1 is Ozzy and 2 is psy, oh which one is really sly?

You know, psy, he has a point. Being the leader, he could have killed another team member, eliminating majority, and the killed off the other one. I mean, if we're not on the right track, it doesn't matter then because we deserve to lose. But if we are on the right track, it doesn't matter which we kill first, but I'd still rather go with lynching who I am more suspicious of. In all of the planning, you have always been the last to go. Maybe the train is coming and there doesn't seem to be a way off the tracks, but that doesn't mean there isn't one.
As for not checking Delta Force, he is the one using the analyze power.
Ozzy, role claim.

@piano: he couldn't have done this because you joined our chat and would've been able to report everything. Remember, scum tried to kill /you/ on night 1. Because of Cap's intervention, the kill hit Tangled instead, but, consider: who would want you dead at that point? I thought it was IF's reasoning at play (piano's a vet, kill him) but I'm pretty sure now that they wanted you dead because they knew your ability.
I dropped an analysis early because I thought I'd be dead waay earlier. I still think it's a mistake to have not killed me as soon as my power was apparent, even above piano. No qualms about verifying myself tonight, and only reason I don't want ozzy around this night phase is because he'll nightkill someone via his own power.
I propose what to analyze because I figured out how to abuse it. It's a huge plus for town if used correctly and pointless if it isn't. Like, the thing is billed as a lie detector. I would've been suggesting we use it on dumb things like if people are being truthful about being in chats or abilities or w/e. Instead, we've been using it like a superseer. Frogge and Cap_H are alive thanks to it. The train on the rails (too few questionables for scum to hide) is almost entirely my doing, I sure didn't aim it myself.
Also, let's see:
- I harassed Ratty all of day 1 (if you think this is "perfect scum play" go look at CAVE)
- I go after IF on day 2
Ozzy has:
- at first tried to weasel out of self-analyze (see delta #11) (he draws my suspicion in #16)
- knows information he should in delta #13 ("we're the most powerful unit" -- oso powers unknown at this point)
- tries to weasel out of voting ratty (delta #76)
- tries to weasel out of voting IF (delta #177)
I've been willing to overlook all this because Ozzy has a nightkill power -- I thought it would be op to give this to mafia, but apparently not. We had two investigators and a doc.
Frogge I know you're indie but seriously get back here and get rid of that RNG vote, jesus

*shouldn't know
I'm the town-aligned lie detector. My ability tells whether a given statement is true or false. It's not really a seer role per se, I've just found an abuse of it (bluetext) that makes it function that way.

Okay, I've had a little time to reflect on psy and Ozzy. For Ozzy, I can't think of a single time I can point to where he's actually said or done anything detrimental. Even though he's the leader of Delta Force, he's always followed psy's and my lead, and contributed a tremendous amount to our planning. He has a highly functional team that he works well with and that works well with him. My addition has also boosted the team's effectiveness, although I did get a little over-obsessed with my Cave-scum theory. I mean, OVER-OBSESSED.
Psy, on the other hand, has been an equally effective town player. It does seem like he manages to get out of plans that could directly threaten him if he's scum, but other than that, he's completely seem to be on board with them, as we've seen in the thread. This is another thing that had me so convinced that snowfox14 was the final scum, even though he kind of talked me out of it at the end. But there are things he did that made me a little suspicious a couple of times:
1. Although we saw his focus on Frogge in this thread, what we didn't see was the fact that he wanted to lynch Frogge over IF, in spite of the fact that odd's information had so thoroughly incriminated IF. You had to be in Delta chat to see that.
2. We all agree that with odd's actions, he's as town as Cave really turned out to be. Psy is also correct that until he's been checked through analysis, we can't be absolutely sure of this, but this seems to be an issue that keeps popping up with psy, to the extent that I'm concerned he'll try talking me into the notion during night phase that odd is scum.
3. The one thing that really raised my eyebrows happened in Delta chat. When snowfox14 role claimed, psy focused on the wording of the claim "town-aligned announcer". Psy insisted that this wording was too precise to be natural and that he had to get it from somewhere, but that he couldn't explain why because he would be mod-killed. Psy knows perfectly well that he can talk about his PM without quoting it and not be mod-killed. I've been doing it the entire game. You people know practically the entire contents of most of my PMs at this point, even though I've never quoted them. I'm a town Radio Tuner, there are four units, one is scum, and they're on frequencies I can tap into. Sure, my PMs were each a couple of paragraphs long, but content=/=word count. For all that Gourd wrote, this is all he's actually said. Included in psy's post about snowfox14's "wording", was a proclamation that "it's Ozzy, isn't it?" This was such an obvious scum-shift to me, that I almost scum-hunted him on the spot. I was within a hair's breadth. I even wrote that there was a new problem. But I changed my mind. Psy had been so town, I was certain I was misreading him.
Then again, I felt the same way about Cave. Maybe I had the right theory, but about the wrong person. With Cave lying nailing Ratty, and me lying to nail IF, it's entirely possible that simply through a survival response, we've made the last scum look like town.
If psy's scum, he had to go along with decimating his own team, because he'd have outed himself otherwise. Then again, same could also be true of Ozzy, but like I said, psy's the one that's done things that me go "hmm...". (Yes, I'm making punny reference to an old song)

I just don't know. I don't know which of them it could be. Either one could be playing a godly mafia.
I mean, I know I'm leaning more towards psy than Ozzy, but he's played such a good town and I can't bring myself to maintain suspicion on him.

I would be playing the shittiest mafia ever. I got two scum killed and painted a bluetext train coming at the third.
ozzy followed my lead because the alternative was I'd catch on to him.
And piano: consider what ability you want around tonight: analysis or nightkill. If Ozzy isn't it (there's a disguise ability at play or somehow odd is scum) I can prove myself to you without a doubt. Ozzy can kill someone.

Psy, you can't use the use the argument of your performance against Ozzy. He may not have posted much here, but in Delta chat, his performance was just as nearly unimpeachable as yours.
Btw, here's the post where you claim he tried to get out of analysis (if odd can do it, so can I):

Hey there unit! I like psys idea, but doesn't that analyze only work for posts made in the thread? If yes, it would be extremely risky to post stuff like "I'm scum/not scum". Because scum would very fast see that there's three people that say basically the same and they'll try to get rid of us.
@Gourd I need verification on where we can use the analyze ability, in the chat or only on the thread?
Line 76--Ozzy is a first time player, and Cave had just confessed to lying. This after it had been drilled into Ozzy's head to look for inconsistencies. He also didn't have a problem with me lying about IF (I had a problem with it! I've never deliberately lied in these threads before, it felt like I was violating some sort of trust...it was kind of a liberating experience, actually).
And line 177 is taken out of context. Ozzy knew I was lying about IF by this point. Even though I was sure, he had no reason to be, and the scum still could have been Kloe or Frogge. Again, you can't use this against him because you did exactly the same thing, preferring to vote Frogge over IF.
So, you're role claiming analyzer?

Just so you know psy, I followed your and pianos lead. Seeing as you two seemed like very experienced mafia players, I went with your judgement.
As for my role as leader, I always asked you guys what action to take, I never went rouge and acted on my own. Besides, I'd give up the leadership any moment, but I don't think I can trust you with it psy. Sadly we can't elect piano to be leader. And if I wouldn't suspect you to be scum, I'd gladly give you the leadership of the DELTA FORCE, psy.
