No, I'm not kidding. So, what do you think this means for everyone involved?

Thank God.
I think this means a step in the right direction for the whole of Middle Eastern Politics. Everyone's got their eye on Iran, and the other middle eastern countries are extremely wary of a nuclear/expansionistic Iran.
A stable Afghanistan means that Iran is contained from the east. Now all we have to do is turn Iraq into a giant parking lot / oil field and then we can finally declare victory.

I hope this doesn't mean coalition and Afghan forces are going to be urged by domestic politicaians to discuss something like complete and unconditional surrendur which will result in probably nothing happening at all.
This puts my mind at ease... I'm not kidding when I say that I don't think either of our two candidates for president would have handled the situation there well, and this sorta handles it for us. Im not saying Bush handled things there the best, but still.... sounds like its over or will be soon and that's good enough for me.

Considering the Taliban is the backbone of Al Qaeda, what does this mean for the War on Terror?
