OFFICIAL REVIEW THREAD:DRAGOON LEGENDS REVIEWED
Posts
OKAY, FIRST OFF, NO PROMISES!
But, if there is something about your game, which you request, right here, for me to review, that catches my interest, I will do an SUPER DUPER in depth, entertaining, no holds barred AND REALLY INTELLIGENT review of it AND put that review up on this very website. If your game does not interest me, I will tell you up front (NOTHING PERSONAL, GUYS) so you do not get your hopes up.
Guys whose games I have already reviewed during the RELEASE A LOT event 2+ weeks ago, please don't ask me for any reviews, you already got yours, unless you're asking for a review of a different game, which is okay.
Also if there is a super-interesting or great game that you didn't make that you want me to review, I can do that too. Please focus on things I haven't played already- I have played most of the "major" games the community has produced since 2001 but I am sure there are a ton I haven't played. Obscure is good, irrelevant is bad. Capiche?
DISCLAIMER: I MAKE NO PROMISES ON PROMPTNESS OF DELIVERY OF REVIEWS OR IN FACT I MAKE NO PROMISES OF DELIVERY OF REVIEWS AT ALL. BUT I WILL TRY.
Alright, now that that has been said:

Despite what you may think, capslock is not autopilot for cool.
However, Max McGee is an excellent reviewer. If you have a worthy game, you will be sure to get a worthy review.

You have your beliefs sir, and I have mine. We'll see who comes out victorious when we go to war.
Sounds cool, but from the looks of how RS!D went, you don't seem all that interested in Pokemon Hunter. But, I'll throw it out there anyway.
Would you like to try out Pokemon Hunter? I've spiffed up the first game a lot since I first released it, and I'd just love to get an opinion on it! It's not nearly as bad as it looks, and I've gotten compliments before from people who don't even like Pokemon! Basically, if you like RPGs, you'll probably like this. But it's up to you anyway. Please say yes!!!

How do you feel about game concepts that will not be further developed? I mean, I technically haven't "given up," but the idea is so dated and I already decided to stop using RPG Maker, so I just don't want to work on it anymore. However, I'm very interested in learning what you'll like about it (if anything... which I'm expecting to be a totally valid opinion) so that I can carry over the strong points and add some polish to them for later use.
I did I lot of experiments with RPG Maker, just to see if I could. This is my attempt at creating a CBS based on Star Ocean. All you can do is attack spam and hope you don't die; there's plenty of glitches, and magic - while I attempted to put it in - is not even close to completion. The build is old, because my more recent builds were lost in a hard-drive crash, but the latest wasn't much different - it added a premature bounty system where you'd earn points to shop for items in the "black market," slightly better dialogue, and mini-cutscenes just like in "Tales of" games (complete with random blinking, lol).
At least there's a little custom music thrown in there, produced by me. (Note: PLEASE DO NOT STEAL!)
I later went on to attempt a full-on action RPG system, a Final Fantasy 8 mock-battle system, and a Super Mario RPG battle system, the later of which was extremely promising, but alas... that stupid hard-drive crash...

It's not a game I intend to continue working on, specifically, which is why I'm not submitting it to RM, and I'm not making a thread about it (unless you want me to).
I did review your release; so feel free to return the favor. =D
(Then again, you have before!)

I've reviewed Beloved Rapture like 10 times blind over the course of BETA TESTING IT FOR YOU YOU UNGRATEFUL FUCK. ;D
Seriously, I'll get around to this (finished?) version eventually.
Sorry bro, you seem like a good guy and you asked very nicely. But I just hate pokemon so fucking much that there is no way I could ever say anything nice or even fair about your game. It is a ridiculous prejudice, I know, but I am RACIST AGAINST POKEMANS.
Nothing against you or your game.
I'll give it a try, but it being a dead project no matter what I say doesn't exactly make me feel enthusiastic for it.

That's okay, I really just need to know what my strong and weak points on it were.
I wouldn't join an RPG making forum, though, if I didn't intend on making one again at some point. It probably would be in Game Maker. =P

Actually I have been meaning to do that for OVER THREE YEARS since I first played it in my sophomore year of college.
Maybe I just will.

BloodyAsura/Infinite Seraph did an excellent and very flattering review of your game very recently.
That said, because it looks interesting and I haven't played it before, I will try it.

Oh hey, thanks for reviewing The Mirror Lied in advance. :) Quite a nice surprise; looking forward to it.

Incidentally, I wouldn't take anything that guy says seriously.
