So, heres a question, what brought you to RMN? how did you find the site?

As for me, i had just made an RPG(Red moon btw) and i thought it was the shit, so i wanted to show it off. so i looked for sites on google, and i happened to stumble apon RMNv1. after about 5 months, i started getting active, and thats how i joined RMN.

What about you?
This is a pretty interesting topic, so I think it can be moved to General.

I made it.
#rm2k

Plus, I needed a bigger audience for Hero's Realm (no joke).

Also, how will this thread not turn into a rant about GW? It's descent in to SomethingAwful was a major factor to my coming here and a major reason why I spend ever less time there (and ever more time here).

Furthermore, after begging, WIP and Holb made me an admin (before there was even a concept of Staff and Contributors).

I won't post on GW because I have come to hate GW over the last three years.

Also, I have a deep respect for the #rm2k oligarchy even if we haven't always had friendly relations.

Finally, the fact that THIS SITE HAS CONTENT, NOT JUST FORUMS is a major advantage it has over those...other sites.
YDS brought me here,

Uh. I joined here not too long after it was created... I joined because Township Games was a complete failure and the new Ghostlight was a complete failure too. I'm still around at GW a lot so I'm not a refugee or something!

I only started posting here actively because of YDS.

EDIT: A little more background. I originally lurked at SkyTower Games for a while, after "finding" RPGMaker (I had originally used MMF and Games Factory before). Then, I started lurking at GW for several years, since it had a ton of games and tutorials. I joined Crestfallen Studios forums, and then I actually joined GW in I think 2006. Sometime later (2007?) I joined Ghostlight Games where I met some amazing people like YDS and Malad. Eventually that ended up as a mess (TSG.) Now I'm here. This is an... okay place. I like a lot of the members here.
I was feeling lonely, depressed and didn't have a home until i found rmn and they took me in. Now i have gotten my life back on track and i owe it all to rmn.

Hey! Me too :). Though I stayed on that ship up until it sank into the ocean, after which I migrated to GW.

There weren't any one-horse open sleighs back then, so I had to swim for 7 nights and 7 days, and when I got there, I had to sleep for 7 weeks to recover. It wasn't as fun as riding in a one-horse open sleigh.
I slacked around in #rm2k and #rpgmaker.net.

Now I slack around here.
I just got RPG Maker for the first time (i'd HEARD of the darn thing obviously, but I never opted to TRY it out until recently)

Then I decided i'd like to see/play/talk about what other people are making.

Now I am here. I like this place, so I'll stick around!
I originally found RM on an old site called LRPGM, and then drifted into a couple other RM sites a few months later, one of which was Kobras Realm, where I met trance. And somehow, she recruited me into one of the many many incarnations of Omengate, and I ended up schleping in with the Loose Cannon/Omengate crew for a little while, and then when the Townshit Gaming hit the fan, I drifted for a long while before stopping here.

TL;DR: Fell in through the roof.

I've got a habit to register almost every RM community forums around, and maybe post in them if they're worthwhile.

I don't know why I didn't post here first time when I registered. I didn't really take look around properly. I had just started my new project back then anyway, so it took all of my attention.

Well, at one point I started looking around for good RM communities again, out of boredom or something, and I just came to notice this is the best of them. :-*
I was looking for new places to hang around after CW (Cedar Woods) and EG (Epiphany Gaming) went down and happened to click the right google link. Then I signed up and forgot to come back until I refound it again. Been here on and off since, though I've yet to forget again. ^.^
I was waiting for the new Nexus.
Well, most of the suspects are here (though under different names, it isn't 1999 anymore). We have rcholbert, narcodis and WIP. If we could get Fobo and Boney Dragon to show up, we'd pretty much be set.

Am I forgetting anyone? It has been nine years, after all.

And, actually, it was me looking for RPGMaker.net on a random search that brought me here in 2006, before the official launch.
I was actually creating a HUGE resource set for rpg maker 2003 (which I still have, and will probably host somewhere eventually). Anyways, while googling around for resources, I found RMN, liked the looks of it, and signed up!

God am I ever glad I did :)
