For the same reason every modern Final Fantasy character has five billion accessories, probably. Just design elements, shitty or not.
There's a lot of problems I could go into, of course(If you want me to), but it's actually not awful for an inexperienced artist. You have a decent sense of proportion(minus MASSIVE eyes and legs that are a bit too short) and it appears you looked up references for it, which is a good habit to get into.

@Karsu: Actually, I read it was common practice to wear the gunbelt at arm's length, regardless of where one's waist was located. And don't make fun of Larsene's stature - it makes him insecure. ;)

The card design itself is alright, but the colors are pretty bad. You can't really read some of the text (where it says Magic and Creature, and Power Attack)
Try taking out some of the lines, and make the green less bright!
As for the picture on the card, pretty good! The yellow on the wolf though sticks out way to much, while you can barely see the wolf. I would say tone down the yellow a bit on it.
Good luck making a card game, I tried once (long ago), and it was quite difficult!

I am like, ultra-super qualified with all types of CCG and tabletop mechanics engineering, so if you ever need any help on the rules side (NOT THE ART SIDE) of making your card game, just ask me.

BIG UPDATE
These are the prototype drawings, just to try out the facial structure and hairstyle. These three and Larsene in the first post are satisfactory. However, Mardsen and Doc I am still working on.

Samson's legs are way too short. Other than that, I like it. It's a lot less smudgy than the other ones, and it's a good way away from Beltan Zippan over there.
