First Proof;Super in a Trademark Database

Now, I know you may be thinking that the Description of the trademark itself is descriptive enough to warrant it only applying to their game, But remember that King Trademarked the Word Saga And then tried to uphold it against the game series Banner Saga, which had nothing to do with their description of the trademark. So yeah, I think they plan to abuse the shit out of this.

If you make a product or company, and you give it a name or a logo, it gets trademarked. That part is working as intended. For example, tech product trademarks in 2015 included "Cyclops" and "Loop". The product name "Telescope" for tech products was trademarked in 2014. All three of these trademarks are for names, not logos.

Additionally, I'd like to point out that I think King's trademark for Super is only a trademark for the logo, not the name. (It's possible it's for both, though. I'm not sure precisely what the 3000 and 4000 codes mean.)

So, I mean, fuck King, and they probably will try to abuse this. I have zero faith in them. Why are they even still in business after the Banner Saga fiasco? But this trademark, like the Saga trademark, is perfectly valid. There's nothing wrong with them obtaining it.

I can see why companies might want to trademark stupid shit like this - it's like an arms race - if they don't do it, someone else will, and use it against them. It's the PHASE TWO of the plan, where they start doing the same patent/trademark trolling that gets my dander up.
