In my RPG that I plan on making. I want players to be able to either:
1. Open a hyperlink from character conversations e.g. character says 'Ok you need to go to google to complete this challenge' or
2. Players can copy and paste a url from the character text into browser.
Does RPG maker MV allow for this? or is there another prg maker that might? I have downloaded the yanfly external links addon, however i think this is more for directing players to a single web address from the map. Howver I may be wrong on this.

Yanfly's plugin has a plugin command you can use anywhere to open a new tab or window for the specified adress. You could insert it after the textbox that says "You have to open this web to do whatever" and it would automatically open when pressing next. You could also put a choice window to open it or not in case you want to leave that to the player's judgement.
Copying text to clipboard automatically would require some additional programming but it's possible. Highlighting text inside a text box is not supported as far as I know, so Yanfly's plugin is the best solution.

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

What a bizarre request.
You say the plugin you've got is "more for directing players to a single web address from the map" but that sounds like exactly what you want to do. What doesn't it do that you want to do?

Thanks - I have now figured it out and it works great. However - when I link it to some videos on youtube (my videos) the videos never load. However when I point it an another video - they always work? any ideas why this might be?

"They never load"? As in, it redirects you to a blank page, or YouTube loads but the video is stuck loading? Could you provide a screenshot to clarify the problem?

Sounds like a problem with Youtube, rather than with your game. Post the link to the video (the exact same link that you give the player in your game). Should be easy to tell if it's uploaded correctly and if you're using the right URL.
