OLD/LOST RPGMAKER GAMES - SEGNIN'S RARE/OBSCURE RM GAMES REQUEST TOPIC

Posts

Hi. I got nostalgic about RM and my site and found this thread via Google. I know Monkey Productions is mentioned in the OP as being down and having some games at some point. It is true it was down, but technically has been back up for a while, just severely broken and I'm too lazy/busy to fix it since it's not worthwhile anyways. http://monkeypro.net/games.php

None of the games are up, due to storage. But I do have everything that was stored on the site. I know a few people have found ways to reach me and get stuff I had on the site site before.

Anyways, if anyone wants anything I have I joined the official Discord group so you can find and DM me there (Monkeydog189).

I just wanted to make the offer in case anyone ever comes across the site and becomes discouraged because of a broken link.
I've been trying to track down a copy of "A Krampus Christmas (Game Chill 2013)" for the better part of 30 or 40 minutes at this point. Apparently the download on the game's page leads to the developers old site, but even using the wayback machine hasn't helped me find a valid download for it on the developer's old site since he apparently setup a direct link to the rar file.

And apparently he didn't include a download section on his site for downloading his games which makes getting ahold of it from there basically impossible so the direct address was never archived.

I have messaged them on youtube, but I don't know if I'll get a response in the near future considering their last video was posted two months ago.

I think I reached out to you on Steam? Are you the same person I already got the files from? (I forget!) I still need to organize the rest of those if so. Slowly making my way through the thousands of files I have accumulated.

He has his hotmail on the RPGMaker account. Maybe try that? I also found him on Reddit, I reached out to him there, I will let you know if he responds.
So I'm a huge fan of Tyrant God Saga: Altered Perception and I do know you can download it on various RM sites that still keep the archive alive.

But does anyone remember that other Tyrant God Saga game that Brandon made? You were some kind of angel figure that got teleported into a world and it was very sandbox-y. Does anyone remember that game? And, better yet, does anyone have a copy of it? I remember really liking it but can't find it ANYWHERE. Heck I don't even fully remember the name (except that it was Tyrant God Saga: something something).
Tyrant God Saga Altered Perception is by Brandon Abley (on rm2000).

Yes, I know. But I'm 99% sure Brandon had started another project that was called Tyrant God Saga but had a different subheading and different story.

I was looking through some old files and found a few rare RPG Maker games. English, German, Spanish, Russian and 2 translations of older games.

I think some of these haven't seen the light of day for more than 15 years.

You guys may find this interesting: https://www.dropbox.com/s/3qhv1bp1tcf8503/Old%20or%20Rare%20RM%20Games.7z?dl=0

Some of the games contained here:

Absolute Zero
Demon Story
SMQ - Mansion Demo

You are remembering correctly. Good luck on your organization efforts.

I use PowerISO software and remove the pirated RPG Maker installers.

Regarding "TopGames_Esp#14.iso"
To make its executable work, follow these steps:
Step 1: Execute the .exe file from edition 38;
Step 2: With edition 38 open, now execute the .exe from edition 14.

You can close the edition 38 executable if you want, but if you close the edition 14 one, you will have to repeat the same process.

The error with "TopGames_Esp#14.iso" is:
browser
Runtime installation error.

You're a champ. Thank you.
Well I still haven't gotten a response from Sam about a "A Krampus Christmas" from the Game Chill 2013 event.

In more positive news I did manage to find valid downloads for trance2's one hour entries using the Wayback Machine. Though, I'm not sure what to do with the files at this point.
Thank You Vash ♥ for the updated info and uploads.

Thank you MonkeyDog ♥. I'll get in touch with you on discord to try and get a copy of those.
MonkeyPro had a lot of 2007 prototypes of some really cool games like starless umbra and beloved raptured.
That'll probably still be really interesting to someone just interesting the fold of rpgmaker development.

XD this is why we named the thread after SegNin: an absolute legend ♥ XD.

I never would've figured this out!

In my search for old references to RM, such as programs, graphics, and other products, I came across old games that participated in official contests by Japanese developers. Some links work, but I don't know if they're useful because they're in Japanese.

Visually looking at the images, they seem to be well-crafted.

I'm surprised that the current direction of Tkool doesn't care about the old games and graphics that were freely available by RM users, they prefer to let them fall into oblivion like Mack's (aka artist of RTP XP Sprites/Map) pixel art course.

I was looking for more information about some issues of the Brazilian magazine and found on WebArchive some numbers with games. I didn't get to test them to find out if they are games in English or Portuguese.

I haven't gotten around to testing the Japanese games and those ISOs from other editions because I'm still in the process of downloading the .iso files.

Anyone still got a copy of "Wednesday's Knights" by Tuckie? Apparently he/she/it (has gender listed as slime) deleted this project from their dropbox at some point.
Was the list/drive not actually updated, or was the Quest Fantasy collection simply missed in the shuffle?

Also, Ad Nauseum on the google drive is not an rpg maker game, it is an obscure indie game though.

I don't have it, But I found his e-mail and e-mailed him. I will let you know!

Also, I heard back from the creator of "A Krampus Christmas (Game Chill 2013)" and he informed me that he no longer has a copy. So that is a dead-end.

I think I might have a copy of Krampus Christmas on my old laptop! I don't have access to it for like another week, but I'm happy to take a look when I get back.
