There is an automatic event you can make for doors when you right click, but how do you make the animation work for a reverse. Like, the automatic event mostly works for when you're walking inside a room, but what about out? It looks funny whenever I tried to use the automatic door function, it swings up and kind glitches out a little. I don't know if that makes sense. I tried reversing the event directions but it didn't work at all.

You can't make it swing out unless you add an extra tile beneath your door sprite, increasing the charset height by 128 px (32 per direction). To have a door swing in without looking funny, have a ceiling tile for that door set to star passability above it. You'll need to copy one of the autotile ceilings and put it in a b-e layer tilesheet. The easiest way to do this is simply to lay the ceiling tile in a map, screenshot it, then copy paste the necessary piece of ceiling tile to one of your B-E sheets. Set it to star passability and then when you put it above the door, shift map the surrounding ceiling tiles so that it blends.
