Let me tell you a little something about myself.
I love adventures. I love trying and experiencing new things, taking wrong turns, going on road trips with no destination, traveling to new places (it is my dream to see the world!), talking to strangers. I think adventures breathe new life in what could easily become a mundane existence.
So share some cool adventures you have had in your life!
I'll start:
Two years ago, me and a buddy of mine decided to take a spontaneous one day road trip. To Lumber City, Georgia. It is in south Georgia, at the time I was in north Georgia. Also, basically no one in the world (much less Georgia) has heard of Lumber City. We left in the morning, after our classes were done, and after a 6 hour fun filled drive, we accidentally drove through the town (That is how small it is!)It took us 20 minutes to realize we already went through it! So after backtracking, we finally made it.
Then it took us 8 hours to get back and I did not have time to do my Enviromental Science homework. Whoops!
Also, why Lumber City? We looked for the most random unheard of town in Georgia and made it our destination. There was NOTHING THERE.
There were many exciting things that happened on that trip, including almost dying a couple of times (scary!), but somehow we made it there and back in one day. Hurray!
So tell some of your exciting adventures. It can be anything that you considered to be one!

Tell us more!
I've had a tree branch through my gut.
You know, the usual.

Well, me and my friend were switching driving, and he is much taller than me! Also, I did not have a license tag (which was definitely not my fault!), so we where wary of being pulled over.
So at one point we passed a cop car that had pulled someone over, and about five minutes later we ourselves pulled over to take a picture. My friend was driving at the time, and we where taking pictures in a hurry so the cop wouldn't pull over to find out if there was something wrong (and see my lack of tag!
So as quickly as we could, we jumped back into the car. He had been driving, and it was my turn, so I get in and the seat is pushed back way to far! SO I start trying to drive while pulling my seat up, but the force of leaving made my seat go back farther, and I lost control of the car (and had no seat belt on at the moment!) and swerved into the lane of oncoming traffic, barely missed a front end crash with a car, and swerved back to the right lane nearly missing another! I regained control and fixed my seat and all was good. Scary stuff though, closest I have ever been to being in an accident.
Also, we where exploring a train track in lumber city when the train started to come. It was a train bridge, so we had to grab our stuff (guitar, coats, backpack, etc) and run kind of far to get off the track. It was not as close as it could have been, thankfully because the train was coming from the other side.

Yikes, that doesn't sound good! What happened?

Pshaw, I think I was... maybe ten or eleven. Somewhere in there. I was climbing a tree out in the yard of the apartment I was living in at the time, and its branches went straight outward like spokes. I climb around twenty feet or so (? Two stories = twenty feet, right?) and I hear a tremendous snap. The tree breaks of at the ground and starts to fall. As it falls, I get the smart idea of jumping out. A branch on the side towards the ground breaks of and slides around the tree like this:
_________
_________
| | <---break
| |
_________
___| |_____
| |<---slides up.
It hits in me in my gut (with the splintered end, too) winding me, so I'm not going anywhere. I hit a pair of branches in a \/ shape, pining me to the branch. Thing is, tree's still falling, and the \/ branches are still connected to the tree. Voila, chaos productions-kebab.
I was more excited to be on the news than I was in pain from kebab-ment, though.
The night I passed out in my puke on the subway and ended up shivering on the streets of Tokyo was quite the adventure.
