I'd like to try to code something in RGSS. I know the Ruby basics but this isn't enough to code something nifty for RPG Maker.
The RGSS documentation is too much technical to be effective for new learners like me.
Meanwhile, I've managed to tweak a few scripts, but all what I did was to modify variables. Is there any reliable documentation to make me progress ?

Let me introduce you to Trihan's Slip Into Ruby series! The awesome answer to your entire post!

HA
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

I would start by picking a script or a default feature that you like but wish there were just one minor thing different in it, and trying to change it. For example, find where experience points are given out in the default scripts, and change them to be not given to characters with a specific status ailment.
You don't need documentation for that, you just look at the names of the classes and functions and you can see where everything is and what it all does.
With something small like that, you can just sort of throw shit at the wall until you figure out how to make it stop erroring. It's a better way to learn than reading tutorials, IMO.
