RM2K - CANNOT CREATE FILE ERROR WHEN SAVING

CloseAnother (legal) RM2K error, this one seems to happen at random as far as I know, or haven't noticed a pattern to it. I'm working on my game, wanting to save after making some changes, and I get this:
"Cannot create file
C:\User\Name\Milennin\Local\Temp\RPG_TEMP\Map00xx.lmu"
It's preventing me from saving the game, as the error will pop-up everytime I attempt to save, and only goes away if restarting the program without saving. Anyone can clarify as to why this is happening, and how to get rid of it permanently?

have you tried starting the program as an administrator?
Windows in some paths claims it.
Yeah, I've been running it as administrator after trying out different settings because switching RM2K play testing to full screen takes up so much time on Windows 10 (not that it helped, but I tried). The error still occurs, though.

There are two things that might be causing this issue that I can think of:
1) the folder into which the maps are trying to save are write-protected
or (more likely)
2) it's because that save destination is a temporary (temp) folder. Files saved into temp folders often only exist for several minutes, so if you create a map, work on it for awhile and then attempt to save it, RM2k can't find the file- because it no longer exists. Try changing the root directory of the save game.
If it's random though... I have no idea!

As an update to this thread:
I have, myself, recently started getting this error (in Tsukuru 2003), which leads me to believe it's a Windows-related issue. Recent Windows updates have made RM2k/3 less usable than ever. I've only encountered the problem once after not saving a map for a long time.
My advice, for the short-term, is to save often and keep a backup of your maptree (RPG_RT.lmt) since we all know the map tree is exceptionally finicky.
It seems to me like RM2k/3 creates temporary duplicates of the map file in case of undoing, but I'm not 100% sure.

Actually, the time before posting on here was the last time I've had it occur, and I've been working on the game daily. I really don't get what it could've been...

for anyone who ever encounters this issue again:
RPG2k is failing to write a new folder in C:/Users/{your username}/AppData/Local/Temp/
to fix this and save your edits, you simply have to head to this folder (Temp), and create a new folder named "RPG_TEMP".
After this your changes will save correctly.
