STANDARDS FOR CREDITING PLUGIN CREATORS?

I'm releasing my game on Steam next month, but what are the standard ways to credit people for plugins? Traditionally I would add a text file (and I guess I will for itch.io) but people buying the game through Steam would never see it...
Do most people add a credits screen to the game accessible from the main menu, or just add a small blurb at the bottom of the Steam Store page?

Yea, if you can add a credits screen or if your game has closing credits, adding the creator's name to that (next to the name of the plugin) is usually the way to go.
Very often, a plugin will have a readme that mentions attribution information, but if it doesn't, the above should be plenty.
Good luck with the release!

I do three things:
1. Text file
2. Credits screen
3. List on Game Page (probably not necessary for Steam)
Check all of your plugins for attribution clauses and include them. Usually a link to the CC license should suffice.
Make sure all of your plugins allow commercial use (I've gotten into the habit of avoiding scripts that don't).
Do this for any fonts you're including, as well.

Okay, first things first, you should see what the creators of the plugins require as far as credit goes. It's not the same for every person or resource. Some might want a mention in your credit roll in the game, some might want a mention in a readme file and others won't want any credit.
After that, any that are 'no credit required' should be at least put in a readme file anyway so that other people who see those resources can find the creators if they want to look their stuff up too. Sending people the creators way is a good way to encourage there to be more creators, after all.
Lastly, keep in mind that some creators will want to know about their stuff being used (usually those who don't mind people using their stuff without credits, but not always). Send them a link to your game.
There you go!

This can all be boiled down to a simple conditional branch:
if
Creator asks for credit;
credit them
else if
Creator says credit isn't necessary;
credit them anyway
if
Creator asks for credit;
credit them
else if
Creator says credit isn't necessary;
credit them anyway
Thanks for all the responses, guys! I guess I should check each plugin then.
I'll definitely put them all in a readme, it's just that no one on Steam will see that...
I already have a credits screen at the end of the game, so I'll try adding them there, although I think it might be hard to fit all the plugins! Anyway, I'll do my best. :) Thanks.
