CloseSo I had this idea to run a quick chaotic game of mafia over on Discord. Day and night phases together would be around 20 minutes, so we shouldn't run for more than an hour amd a half at most. We can use voice chat and make everything even shorter, or we can just use Discord's IM.
The game I want to host is from Town of Salem, and is called Vigilantics. Everyone is either a vigilante who commits suicide the night after killing another vigilante, or a witch who can control a player to target another player with their skill. The witches don't know each other's identitities, and the goal of both teams is to kill the other team.
My question is a bit more general though:
Would you be up for playing a quick game of mafia on Discord over voice chat?

Well, I'm not sure if it'd be a good thing if I participated -- I would definitely try to make it but end up following cavedog's title text
It's not bad idea and voice chat is better as mafia is about direct interaction. I won't join it, I find talking at computer ridiculous.

Voted text chat for two reasons.
1. I'm not even sure I could keep up with a mafia game if it was voiced. I've also always had ear trouble so I'd likely mishear some things especially if more than one person talks at once.
2. No mic. Never had a reason to get one since I prefer typing, partially due to the reason above. I'm willing to sit it out if you find enough people who want voice chat, but if its done in text then I'll join.

Sounds great but I've learned in voice chat games it's impossible not to get a word in without being talked over, so unless we had some system planned out it'd just end in frustration and people talking over each other.
