I've started this tutorial series a while ago. The audio is german, but I thought it might be interesting for some beginners to have access to the content and so I decided to create english subs.
This is the first of currently 10 videos with mostly tips for beginners in them. Let me know if you find it helpful and if you're interested in me adding subs to the other videos too. :)
#1 The centralized commentary event
To give you an impression, here's a list of the other videos, which, due to positive response I guess I'm gonna give subtitles too.
#2 The globalized commentary event
#3 Show party position in save state
#4 Show picture at the coordinates of an event
#5 Choose individually which stats to improve on level up
#6 Walking Sounds
#7 Dead surely normalize move speed after cut szene
#8 Trick with the tool "choose tiles"
#9 Particl effects (without plugin)
#10 Cherry Tool for searching swtiches, events, etc.

Interesting.
For me, you can add even deutsch subtitles - I always have included polish translates.
About movie - I always prefer call common events, surely this situation is individual to one map - then can use your way. Unfortunatelly in RM2k/3 and newer not can have global normal event - only in RM95 thanks certain bug - 1 event can be placed in different places and we can edit one and change all in whole game - I some day decscribe this more precisely. This is super for example because we still use all events page.
I wait for subtitles in other movies.

I've added another one, this time not following the chronological order. but I thought the tool, introduced in #10 is very interesting and not very well known.
I've just noticed, the internal search working okay for this too. but apparently you only get coordinates for an event only if you typ in it's name.
