Hey if anybody can help me figure this out, that will be great. I've got some rpg games that I've downloaded. Once downloaded, the files come in WinRAR format. WinRAR is need to load the game. I can load the games from the WinRAR archive, however, I can't get to load previous saved progress. I don't know for sure what to do or try. I'm new to the rpg world and still learning my way through. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Ah, what you need to do is extract the game from the WinRAR archive. Install WinRAR or 7zip, then go to the game's .rar file, right click, and Extract To Here. Then play the game from that folder.
The game is trying to "save" a file to the temporary folder Windows would have created for you to inspect the file. But after you exit out, that temporary folder is likely deleted.

No. You should only need to extract the files once. Saving would also work as intended. However, if you're concerned about the game not saving, you could check the directory of the game where you extracted to. That's generally where they go, as far as I know.
