I remember try 2 sample games (engines) of rpg maker 2003,
but it seems that I lost that samples. I think that can be impossible to found, there's nothing searching in google, but I will ask.
1st one
This was a plataform system with custom graphics, to make games
map to map, like the old computer games without scroll.
The sample had 2-3 maps and a system to reduce the speed on water.
2nd
This looks like a paper mario game, with a sprite of mario and pixel movement,
there's nothing that can find now in google, too much results of newer rpg makers. " " doesn't do nothing if I try to find this.

I will say, for the first one, it's not hard to make that kind of thing yourself in the engine, as it has those features as part of the hide/show screen commands (Instantaneous is the option you want for seamless transfers).

Hi gadesx!♥
Do you mean these?

I've been trying to look for them for a long time as well. :(
These use to be on RMTutorials but Carius has since moved onto other things and the site no longer exists.
(He did a really cool playthrough of Super Mario Galaxy entirely on a DDR dance pad that was featured on several gaming news sites like polygon).
...I've tried to get in touch with him on twitter, but he just won't respond. I'd love to just rehost what he had here, cause the info he had was super invaluable to anyone using rm2k3 for the first time - a lot of the templates and tutorials there taught me everything I know about rpgmaker today. (Most of the info is still available through webarchive, but the games themselves aren't) This is like, one of my biggest regrets, not being involved in the rpgmaker community sooner, cause otherwise we'd still have those sample games now. :(
EDIT: I might have the paper mario sample on a failed external harddrive from 2009 (the power supply stopped working), but it will take awhile to get.
The first its exactly that one. The other its very similar, maybe a newer version. I have to search more in my hdd to. It's a mess.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I finally found the games from hdd, searching the names with defraggler lol, windows 7 search it's shitty

LOL! this is an AMAZING find gadesx! Thank You!
This thread started out, with me helping you out. But instead you're helping me out, lol!
Thank you gadesx! It feels so good to finally be able to have these sample games again.
If you come across any more sample games, let me know. In particular, I've been looking for the intermediate ones, like Aten's:

He was so good at getting the basics out of the way. I have his steal & scan sample game, but I don't have stuff like his summon sample game. There was a whole bunch of stuff. but yeah, if you come across any other sample games, let me know.
Again, thank you gadesx! Great find!

I wrote a tutorial some months ago about summon command
But it's in spanish. I have around 40 tutorials in my blog.

blog, tutorial section
Some with samples, like this one, that one friend told me how make
picture animations in big maps without problems (without use the new function of the new steam version)

WHOAH!!! That's awesome. Divine Elegy had SO MUCH good stuff. I wonder if there's a way to completely recover or at least partially recover these files and submit them officially to rmn? um, i don't think rmn allows us to submit third party content, but there should be somewhere else where it's possible... that RPG Maker Archival intiative you guys had perhaps, although tutorial demos and the like should be separate
edit: oh boy... there were so many awesome early tutorial sites for 2k3.......... we REALLY should archive whichever ones are still online and rehost them as soon as possible
