[RM2K3] REVIVE SPELL QUESTION

Hello,
Is there a way to create a revive spell (which remove the "death" status) so it can only be used on a "dead" character? There is this option on the items but not on the spells as far as I know.
I want to avoid the possibility of casting this revive spell on an alive character since it restores HP as well.
Thanks!
Btw, I'm using the unofficial 2k3 version.

You know, I actually can't see a way to do that. Someone probably knows more about it than me, though.
Maybe I'm blind but I don't see what made the spell only effective on dead ally in this. :s
Is it the fact you didn't check "HP" in the stat increase?
Then how does it give 10% of max HP? The base value?
If it's really that, I think this is quite an hidden feature of the system. :O
And I'll be very grateful you taught me that! (I need to get back home to double check this)

In the lower right corner, there is the word states with selected heal.
The only curable status is death as seen in the screen.
No stat increase serves to increase the maximum hp (momentarily I think) not to recover them.
Yes the base value is 10% of max Hp.

Tested and it worked!
Cannot believe I never knew how this worked since all these years. Thanks a lot!!

I'm in the same boat as Boulon. I had no idea this was possible. I usually clear our the entire database when I start a new project, so I never even looked at how the default skills were set up.
I always assumed the HP box would have to be ticked, otherwise it wouldn't work. Finally, I can have the revive skills I've always wanted! Thanks for this. It's the simple things haha.

I am baffled by the implications of this. I've always checked HP for cure spells; do you not need to? Does not curing them set it to a percentage of max HP? Or does it only work when curing the Death condition (which has a special flag, I know that much)? SO MANY QUESTIONS
