So i am having lots of ideas of something like this since years, i am ripping and preparing resources to make a fan game where i take Legend of Mana and make it a Turn based RPG (if you know this game is originally an action rpg based game).
With this said, i need some extra opinions, what do you think? its a good idea? would you like to play soemthing like this?
I would add some extra "out of your fricking mind" ideas like being able to have a boss as a pet, you would be able to play as a huge bosses, control many characters, have lots of sidequests with a more linear story (or maybe just a game focused on quests and rewards since story is not my strong point).
Thanks for your attention!

I don't see why not. You can still include a lot of the cool features that make Mana series great. The workshops, in particular - golems, the crafting, etc.
I'm not sure exactly what changes with the turn based nature of it. Substituting one combat system for another isn't really much of a pitch. Then again Legend of Mana is pretty much Romancing Saga with real time combat. The only thing I remember that stood out from Legend of Mana is just a really nonsensical board game system and bad crafting.

Of course my friend, i would include the craft system and the Golems, but the main point of this game is lots of Quests, etc...

That is right, the bad crafting is something that i will probably skip on this one, maybe no crafting at all... or maybe replace it with a better crafting system.
Also its interesting that you said that its just Romancing Saga with real time combat, but i guess that it doesnt matter very much.
thank you both for your helpful answers!
