I can't get the full character picture to display. I select an image and there's a white box on the image. That box is all that's displayed. How do I display the full image?
The topic suggests that you're using the Show Text event-command, which makes me believe you're having issues displaying a faceset.
A single face graphic is 96 x 96 pixels. A full sheet of faces is a graphic file, situated so that the faces are displayed in four columns and two rows. That means a total size of 384 x 192 pixels. That aside, it occurs to me that you could be trying to put in a graphic where the face (a face?) is larger than 96 x 96, and are being returned with the upper-right hand corner of the graphic?

I can move the view box (white box) but the individual faces in the file are displayed individually with the white view box having 9 possible positions

is your VX ace "offical" open?
Vx ace is bought and downloaded from rpgmaker.com so it's definitely official. I'm using default character portraits
So, wait, I'm confused by your issue. First, you say that all you can see in regards to showing a face is a white box. Then you say that selecting a face within a Show Text command does show a face, and the white box indicates your selection? That's... literally how that's supposed to work.
How about a few screenshots of what you're seeing, and how you're getting there? That might helpme us understand the situation better.

The large images you have are to use with the "show picture" command.
?I think you found the face set images yourself based on your last post?
