UNDERWHELMING EXPLOITS\GLITCHES IN VIDEO GAMES

A good example of underwhelming exploit\glitch can be found in "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" for GBC. In the game it's possible to gain an infinite number of house points for Gryffindor.

In order to do this you need to be at the point in the game where you've been sent to find potions ingredients for Prof. Snape.

1) The professor will direct you to talk to Hagrid in order to find out where you can acquire all of the items you need.

2) After talking to Hagrid you'll head to the greenhouses that are located just North of his hut in order to kill a snake.

3) After acquiring a snake fang you can talk to Prof. Sprout in order to earn a single house point.

4) You then head back to Hagrid's hut and talk with him about where to find the potion ingredients.

5) Talking with Hagrid resets Prof. Sprout so you can talk with her again in order to earn another house point.

6) Just keep repeating steps 4 and 5 until you've earned enough points to make yourself feel satisfied.

All and all this method of earning points is extremely slow. After all, it takes around 1 minute to repeat steps four and five. And while you can use this method to help ensure you'll win the house cup. It's a lot easier to simply use a walkthrough in order to earn every point you can during the main game. After all, in order to tip the house cup in your favor you'd probably need to repeat steps four and five around a hundred times.
