First off hi im new.^^(I's a lurker/gamer)

Secondly my question was actually regarding how easy Rmxp is to use compared to say rm2k/3. I thought i might try my hand at an rmxp game.Thats why i was wondering how difficult it was to use and also sorry if this is in the wrong section of the forums.
Thanks for any opions.

Maybe change the topic because although it's a question I'm not sure if it would work in request of help forum. RMXP is a simple maker to use for it's bare features, now for scripting that's a different story, to make your own custom script is quite difficult and most of us result in taking other scripts off the internet. While both of them are pretty easy to use, it's a question of taste or preference.
There is also RMVX.

Use either RMXP or RMVX. There's not much of a reason to use the originals besides more organized/ripped resources. Scripts can do much more than 2k/2k3 can ever hope to accomplish.
My preference is RPG Maker 2003. Mainly because of the side-view battle system and it's the one I've used the most. I know with scripts I could make a side-view battle system for XP, but there's something about XP I just don't like. of course it's your opinion.
VX seems to be the easiest one to use so i advise you on using that but otherwise i suggest using 2k3 which is what most people usually start out with.
2003 is a fantastic starting point, problem is, no one ever seems to move on from it.
I know I'm still stuck to 2k3, even if I dabble with XP and VX from time to time

Yeah, this is true.
Once you get used to rm2k3, you find it hard to move on specially with scripting

Yeah that is true. I still use 2k3 not because i don't know how to use XP and VX but because i feel comfortable with what i've been using for years.
i thought xp was pretty easy to pick up after using 2k and 2k3. vx was quite a bit different, but seemingly not too hard to learn.

if you're wanting to make something in xp, i'd say go for it. it's not a huge step away from 2k3, especially if you're not planning on using scripts (though the option would still be there if you decide to upgrade!).

Same here, demondestiny. I'm sure If I'll never move on the the newer versions, I'm so attached RM2k3.
