Hey RMN'ers,
I'm absolutely delighted to be here. I don't know why it's taken me literally (LITERALLY) 20 years to join a game-making community.
I remember my brother downloading the Don Miguel version on RM2K. I was 11, and my tiny mind was suitably blown. The idea of creating my OWN video game was unimaginable.
(It's worth mentioning my brother also played around with RM95 and an ancient fan-made Pokemon game called Pikachu's Quest. It was never finished, so I think he gave it a shot!)
I made countless games, but I never kept or finished them - perhaps that was never the point, and it was essentially a 'digital sandbox' of fun. Who knows. But I didn't touch RM2K for about 10 years, until the pandemic. I hadn't touched video games as a whole, but over those many lockdowns I embraced it all - and I'm so pleased I did.
I will always love this funny 'lil program, I know so much of it off by heart - it's nuts. Something I've always wanted to do is create an Earthbound and a Mario game. Maybe it's time hey?
ANYWAY I've just rambled like crazy. Can't wait to meet you all.
Joe x

RM2k (and RM2k3) are old but they have many active developers in the community. Moreover, EasyRPG enables players to run your games on almost every new platform.
See you around,
