[RMVX ACE] FILE REFUSES TO BE TRANSPARENT

The compression on the image is pretty bad, so, even if Ace had a function to select an alpha/transparency layer (it doesn't ;_;), you'll definitely still have some work ahead of you to make it appear as it should.
Though, the character graphics don't seem to align to Ace's grid either. Like, the further right and down you go along the sheet, the less likely it is to land on a proper animation frame. So, I'm wondering if you intended this for Ace, or if you actually meant to import this into 2K/2K3, and just didn't see the option to set a transparent layer. Though, the compression issue I mentioned earlier would probably still arise in that case.

i thought all spritesheets were compatible with all types of rpgmaker lmao
i have a version with better compression i just put this one into adobe express trying to make it work (based off compression it failed)
im using the sprites with the green outline rn so if i find a better sheet would that be more conveinent
A sprite-sheet that entails 4 rows and two columns of characters should have the dimensions of 392 pixels by 256 pixels, each character taking up 96 by 128. That image is 238 pixels by 212 pixels. This could translate to each character being ~59 pixels wide (238 / 4 = 59.5, rounding down to 59?) and 53 pixels tall, but, that's not the case here.
I use GIMP, and know approximately how to use/insert an alpha channel with that program. I dunno about Adobe Express.
