SMALL MIDI PROBLEM

Huh. Well, I think I posted something similar to this in the past, but I can't really remember. But anyway, it's best that I just get to the problem right away:
I am using RPG Maker 2000 and am currently working on a project with said program. I just recently began to use a specific midi I got off of the internet, and it runs perfectly, sounds great, etc. But here's the thing: When the song finally ends, it never begins to repeat it's self and everything remains silent.
It is a problem with the MIDI? Am I able to fix it?
Help would be appreciated!
Thank you.

Remove MIDI event 111 from it.
MIDI event 111 is a track that tells the MIDI to loop from there when the song ends. When 111 is at the very end of the song, it loops from the end to the end, making silence.

Oi! Thanks for the quick response, Chaos! But I'll have to go and say that I don't really know a tap about what you're saying. Ha ha. So is there any way I can remove this event from the MIDI? Do I need a certain program? etc
I'm not much good with MIDIs either. But I know that you'll need a MIDI editing program of some sort. Just look for a track whose instrument is #111 and remove it completely. then you should be good.
On a second note, you could post the midi (or pm me it) and I could see what I can do. I have some programs, and a decent amount of knowledge around midis (although I am still learning).
Ah, then thank you for your help, Chaos! Glad that you were able to be of great assistance. Though I think I'll do as you suggested, Myserguy, and post the Midi up here. It's only something from Suikoden, so it's not as if it's anything original meant to be kept secret. =P

...Wow, I tried.
Anyways, here's what I found out.
Ephiam: NO IDEA! There is nothing that should stop the midi from looping in rpg maker (that I saw, anyway). I looked at it thoroughly, and couldn't find a thing. I did, however, find out that if you wait quite a while, a little bit of it suddenly loops.
Kenotna: Yours had a blank track on it that greatly extended the length of the midi in the program. I tried deleting it, and exporting the midi again, but all of the sounds got messed up and out of time. I'm guessing that track is some sort of protection.
Honestly, I can't do anything for you guys, so sorry for getting your hopes up. Brandon Abley needs in on this topic.

Ha ha, no problem. I'm just glad that you tried to help! I'll still be on the lookout and see if anyone else is able to give it a look-see. So I'll just keep a watchful eye on this topic for a while.
Ah! It's something I may be able to help you with (sorta). I have alternate versions of that theme (Necklord's theme from Suikoden II ^.^)

Aha! Thank you for the help, Liberty! I appreciate it. However, I managed to find a song to replace it while I was peeking around. Heh. And since it's released, I can't really go and change it! I should have waited until today to release DFII. But eh. Thank you for helping!
The occasional midi will be followed by...like 50 measures of rests. Delete those and you should be fine. (I could be wrong though...) You can edit midi files in a program called Anvil Studio.
