or you could, y'know, just buy a console....
You don't wanna know how much is a PS3 Here in Brasil....
I beat Arkham Asylum yesterday so been spending some time playing ToS today and I'm up to the second time in Welgaia, kinda dissapointed with Pronyma and Yggdrassil, because they both decided they'd be piss weak this time round and go down the second and first times respectively. Can't believe I could not beat them on my other saves! =|
Other than that I'm playing Dissidia (Up to Shade Impulse. ARGH) and Kingdom Hearts: 368/2 Days mostly at the moment. Hopefully gonna get through them before 9th march, so I can concentrate on FFXIII in between college work and revision.

I'm playing Cave Story, as I'm sure everyone on IRC knows...
Just got to Sacred Ground. Fuck it's hard.

Right soo, sod the whole 'Playing ToS part of my last post, I've just beaten it now. Didn't find the final boss to be all that tough, even though the all the stuff I'd read beforehand (Yeeah I spoiled the game for myself, meh) said 'Oooo his first form willl be tough'. Only real 'Tough' bit was when he disabled Raines techs.
That said, maybe getting constant 40-60 hit combo's may have had something to do with his downfall, Sword Rain: Alpha -> Tiger Rain hits a good amount on it's own. Add that to the good timing of Sheena and Collete then he ain't getting a chance to repel my attack (Well, 'cept for the billion times he went into Overlimit, sheesh)
Ahwell, now I've gotta find something else to play =|

Ar Tonelico II has been finished... again. (Hehe, I scored the final boss.) The third better hurry up and be translated.
Now to figure out what to play next... a small part of my wanna play mind is saying "FF9" but there is also Star Ocean 4: International that comes out on Tuesday... but I have a bad habit of not finishing Star Ocean games....

POKEMON EMERALD.
You are THE MAN tardis. I remember that I have 211 Pokemon in sapphire, haha. Haven't touched Platinum that much though. (Yes I play the new Pokemon games) EDIT: Also my level 100 Blaziken rocks your silly Gyarados ;]
I am playing Zelda Ocarina Of Time Master Quest (Just beat Dodongo's Cavern), Link To The Past (At the Ice Palace), and, at the request of a friend, Kingdom Hearts.
Poor Gyarados
Water moves are all Sp.Atk and Gyarados has terrible sp.atk (125 base attack vs 60 base sp. attack). No good STAB moves yet :(

post=122690high defense means it can suck up attacks if necessary (meatshield) and it can be my dedicated surfer. lack of STAB is forgivable, just this once. (i have a very STAB-heavy team aside from my gyarados (which is named toothpaste) thus far)

furthermore, when i play through a pokemon game i've beaten before, i try to use either underused pokemon or pokemon i haven't used before, ever. even if they suck, i make them work.
i remember i did a sharked playthrough once with a starting team consisting of delibird, smeargle, nosepass, and i think wailmer. it was extreme(ly painful).

What about Waterfall? And Aqua Tail? Those are his primary water moves. Use one or the other and fill the rest of the slots depending on your team's strategy. There's a reason he's popular... Or was, I dont know anymore.
Edit: Oh wait, you probably dont have waterfall yet.
Emerald = Gen 3 = stat used for attacks is based on the element. Water moves uses Sp.Atk. All water moves
(thank god they finally fixed this for Gen 4)
*edit*
Also agreeing Gyarados can make a mean tank. Good Sp.Def and Intimidate cuts Atk. Shame about the x4 weakness to electricity but it isn't as damning as x4 to ground/fighting/ice
