I NEED A LITTLE HELP

Playing RPGMaker games wasn't a problem for me...since last month.
Now I have a problem with some of the games.
For example if I start Aldorlea games from Steam than there is no writing...no text is shown only the empty textboxes.
Now if I start the same game manually with local emulator (japanese) than everything is OK.
Since I didn't change anything on my PC and I checked that all fonts are still there I am very gratful for any help.

Try this. No guarantee this will work.

Download the following fonts and put them in your windows/fonts folder:

MS Mincho and MS Gothic (RPG Maker 2000/2003)
FixedSys (RPG Maker XP)
VL Gothic (RPG Maker VX/VX Ace)
Verdana, Arial, and Courier New (RPG Maker VX/VX Ace with Yanfly)

MV and MZ come with their fonts in their own folders. If they're not working, try copying those fonts to your windows/fonts folder.

This is all I can think for you to try. My thinking is that the fonts aren't present in your system for whatever reason, so the text windows are coming up blank. It's also possible that the games aren't finding the fonts folder in Windows. The only solution I can think of for that is to undo your most recent Windows update. Or restore Windows to a time before you started having this problem, if you're able.

If there are other solutions, I don't know.

Finally, it's okay for this to be in General Discussion, but you should really put questions like this in the Help Me forum.

Thank you for your answer.
The problem is still there.
Maybe I wasn't clear in my first post....the problem occured only since last month.
Before everything (with the same games) was OK.
And it couldn't be missing fonts, because if I start the game with local emulator the font is there.
And I checked all fonts (I own every RPGMaker) are installed.
Is there a common point with all your games? Perhaps the version of Gamemaker

Àre these games free? or at least one of them?

No problems with games from this site...can't say that this is still true, because well the problem only occurred during the last month.
I checked several other games (Steam...free and bought) and it's not consistent.
The last with problems: The great Divide; The Exodus (both from Aldorlea) and Heroes of Xanfurth (a free game)....sorry, don't know what engine they are running.
Iirc aldorlea games are made in xp, so maybe you can try checking some game made with rtp made in xp. Also, what operating system are you using? I assume it is windows but it's better to make sure just in case...

Also, i just checked heroes of xanfurth and it looks like it is made in vx / vx ace.

I suggest you to check if other games from this site also not working (it should be since they both use the same engine and setup). If only steam games doesn't work there might be something wrong with the way you launch the game from steam (which i assume you are not running the game from windows then)
to be sure I checked it with: Inferno (Aldorlea) it is working,
than One Million Steps to Home (from this site) no text.
What confuses me is that if I run them normal = no text, if I run them with Japanes local emulator....everything is fine
OK, so today I wanted to play some of my old games again....and the same error
happens: no text in menues or ingame.
The games are the 4 Space Pilgrim Episodes.
The later Space Pilgrim Academy Episodes are fine (other engine).

To make sure: I have installed all needed RPT's and all Fonts (double checked them...de- and re-installed them).
It looks like this only happens to games made with Ace.

Any help?
You can run your RPG Maker 2000 and 2003 games in EasyRPG. EasyRPG comes with its backup fonts and will use those if it can't find fonts in your system.

That's very nice...ahhh, I've tried that last year.

And in my post just above yours I wrote that this error happens with games made with ACE...not 2000/2003 and that I've installed every possible font I could think about.
