Apparently Microsoft was never really funding this one. Other than some quickie games on the DS, one wonders what Mistwalker has planned these days console-wise.

I am sort of glad though, because they kept making my childhood crush (BoF2 Nina) look less and less good until the horrifying iteration in Dragon Quarter, and quite frankly I am aghast to think of what she might have looked like in BoF6.

I was actually looking forward to this a little. Well that sucks, I wonder what will come of Mistwalker?
Well, at least I can pretend that BoFV: DQ never existed and reminisce about the other four. Four good games out of five ain't bad for a series.
One thing about this: did anyone even care about Cry-On? They never showed anything about the game sans for a single piece of concept art.

WIP: I don't think anyone cared for Cry-On per se, but more for just having another big-budget 360 jRPG period. Star Ocean 4 and FF13 are the only ones on tap and while Star Ocean 4 is coming March 3, when will FF13 arrive? 2010? Mighty long dry period. Good thing there's the DS or I'd have to try taking up shooters.

From what I read, BoF isn't dead per se, like Capcom's not reading it's obituary or anything, they're just saying they've got no plans for another one in the near future. I'm holding out hope.
And you people who didn't enjoy Dragon Quarter are certifiably insane. Or possibly sane. The point is, you're not as cool as me and the other groovy cats that got it.

I know it was looking REAL bad for that project (they restarted from scratch a few times, they failed to show up any tangible progress during the last few years) but I sure didn't expect it to be purely cancelled. I mean they were quite hopeful and the initial concept was good... There is still that project he said he is been working on for about a year, based on a concept he came up with while developping FF 7
I don't know. I think Sakaguchi is still in good shape. It doesn't take much funding to make DS games and I'm sure that Microsoft will keep him around to provide more unique content for the 360 in Japan.

Woah a bot that actually wrote something pertaining to the topic. It also used a sig like structure on the account of us not having sigs.
I enjoyed BoF: Dragon Quarter. Though, it did threw me off that Ryu talked, but that didn't even faze my fanatic attitude enjoyment from the series. I still have hopes for the BoF series.
