HAVING A PROBLEM WITH STATUS CONDITIONS IN 2003'S DBS

Yeah, I'm having a problem and I want to see if any of you guys can tell me how to fix it. So...
In the battle, the character has a battle command called "Charge". When he uses it, he is inflicted with the condition "Charged" which has the highest priority of all other status effects. during the player's next turn, he gains another battle command called "Power Shot". After using "Power Shot", the condition "Charged" is removed. The problem is, any other status effects, including positive ones, are removed as well. I want the character to retain his other status effects after using "Power Shot" rather than all of them.
So do any of you guys know how to fix this?
(Also feel free to move this topic if I put it in the wrong thread)

If the "Charged" is set to a high priority, any condition 10 priority levels lower than "Charged" will be removed and/or blocked.
